Job Description

What you’ll do:

This position is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in Europe.

As the Modular Data Center Customer Opportunity Manager, you will be the central coordination point for Eaton’s modular data center opportunity pipeline, driving visibility, consistency and execution from early customer engagement through tendering.

The role is part of the xModular / Business Development & Program Management organization and works closely with the Data Centre Sales Segment, regional Sales teams, Tendering, Design & Engineering, Product Application Engineering, relevant Business Units and Eaton’s external modular partners and customers.

Beyond pipeline reporting, you will actively qualify and prioritize opportunities, challenge data quality and probability assessments, coordinate stakeholders and ensure clear next steps and follow-up.

You will maintain pipeline transparency through Salesforce and other Eaton tools, helping drive disciplined execution across the opportunity funnel.

This is a hands-on commercial coordination and program-management role.

During tendering, you will facilitate alignment between Sales, Tendering, Engineering and external partners & customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Data Centre Sales Segment and regional Sales teams to identify, qualify, prioritize and track modular data center opportunities.
  • Act as the central coordination point across Sales, Tendering, Design & Engineering, Product Application Engineering, relevant Business Units and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain an accurate and transparent opportunity pipeline in Salesforce and other Eaton tools, challenging data quality, probability assessments and next steps where needed.
  • Prepare and maintain pipeline reports, dashboards and status updates, highlighting key developments, risks, priorities and required actions.
  • Coordinate engagement with external modular partners, such as NordicEPOD, to support opportunity development and alignment throughout the pursuit process.
  • Facilitate tender activities across Sales, Tendering, Engineering and partners, ensuring clear responsibilities and timely inputs while supporting the designated tender owner.
  • Track key milestones, deadlines, actions and dependencies across opportunities, driving timely follow-up and resolution of issues.
  • Continuously improve opportunity-management processes, handovers and reporting to strengthen transparency, consistency and execution across the modular data center business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales Operations or a related field.
  • Strong track record of coordinating technically complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities or projects, for example in bid/tender management, commercial project management, or project/program management.
  • A combination of technical and commercial experience is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong coordination and program-management skills, with experience working across multiple functions and external partners in a matrix organization.
  • Good working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM, including pipeline management, reporting, dashboards and status tracking.
  • Solid understanding of opportunity, quotation and tender processes, with the ability to critically assess pipeline quality, probability and next steps.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and structured, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and drive actions to closure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, stakeholders and deadlines in parallel with a high level of accuracy and follow-through.
  • Experience in data centers, modular solutions, power infrastructure or other engineering-driven industries is beneficial. Detailed engineering expertise is not required.
  • Relevant experience may come from areas such as EPC, industrial infrastructure, BESS/renewables, power and energy projects, industrial equipment, construction, or other complex capital-project environments.
