About the Role Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help develop its Intelligence Platform Core, providing scalable, Kubernetes-native infrastructure for Data and Machine Learning platforms. The role involves shaping the platform’s technical direction and engineering culture while working closely with Data Platform and ML Platform teams across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. As the team’s second full-time engineer, you will have an opportunity to influence platform architecture, establish engineering practices, and provide technical guidance to teams building and operating data and machine learning systems. Key Responsibilities Build and develop scalable, Kubernetes-native infrastructure for Data and ML platforms. Contribute to the technical vision and ongoing development of the Intelligence Platform Core. Support platform capabilities across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Collaborate with Data Platform and ML Platform teams to understand their infrastructure needs. Provide technical guidance, advisory support, and best-practice recommendations to platform teams. Help establish engineering practices and contribute to the team’s technical direction and culture. Support the development of reliable, scalable infrastructure for data and machine learning workloads. Location & Work Arrangement The position offers location flexibility across Amsterdam, Bristol, or London. The working arrangement is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Core Responsibilities

Build and develop scalable, Kubernetes-native infrastructure for data and machine learning platforms across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure. Shape the Intelligence Platform Core’s technical direction and engineering culture, collaborating with platform teams and providing technical guidance and best-practice recommendations.
