Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Elektrotechniker und qualifizierter Elektrofacharbeiter, based in Amsterdam. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial settings. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams, performing wiring and cabling work, conducting inspections and testing, and documenting all work according to company and regulatory standards. The position also requires collaborating with engineers and other technicians, following strict safety protocols, and supporting commissioning, upgrades, and repairs to ensure reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems. Qualifications Strong practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in industrial or commercial environments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and apply them accurately on-site. Solid understanding of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices, with a commitment to safe work procedures. Relevant vocational training or certification as an Elektrotechniker or qualified electrical specialist; an engineering or technical diploma in electrical/electronics is an advantage. Experience with testing and measuring equipment, fault diagnosis, and documentation of service and maintenance activities. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and supervisors. Basic proficiency in English for technical communication; familiarity with German or Dutch is a plus. Willingness to work on-site in Amsterdam and adapt to local standards, schedules, and project requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Install, maintain, inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial settings, including wiring, cabling, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs. Interpret technical drawings, document work to company and regulatory standards, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

Requires practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams and apply electrical safety standards. Relevant vocational training or certification as an electrical technician or qualified electrical specialist is expected; a technical diploma is an advantage, as are testing and fault-diagnosis experience, teamwork, and basic English proficiency.
