It’s pretty hard to get stressed in Amsterdam, but having a good time is easy. Generator Amsterdam is located in the up-and-coming eastern side of the city overlooking Oosterpark. This former zoological university building can accommodate 564 guests in 168 twin and quadruple rooms with incredible views on the surrounding and en-suite bathrooms. There is also one luxury apartment for six people with views of the park and a self-catered kitchen. It has flexible and spacious social areas, filled with creative design touches like glass-fronted elevators, a raised café and an outdoor terrace. We’ve turned the former lecture hall into an impressive chill-out lounge and bar, while the old library is now a relaxation and private events room. The basement and café are now dining destinations and the original boiler room has become a secret late-night bar. What You’ll Do Prepare and present high-quality dishes within company guidelines Ensure our guests receive an exceptional level of service and want to return and encourage a guest service attitude in staff Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service to exceed their expectations Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus Be aware of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues to your manager Comply with company security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation Constantly improve product knowledge to maximize revenue and the service provided Carry out any other duties as may be requested by the Head Chef that is relevant to the job Naturally this is not intended as an exhaustive list of duties. Requirements

Candidates should have experience in a similar role in the food industry, a genuine enthusiasm for food and service, and an interest in local and international food trends. They should be creative, organized, commercially minded, comfortable with stock and cost control, strong communicators, available as needed, and eligible to work in the EU.
