As FIFPRO’s sole HR professional, you will take ownership of a broad HR portfolio across various FIFPRO entities. The role combines approximately 50% operational delivery with 50% strategic development. You will move comfortably between for example maintaining accurate personnel records, supporting a sensitive employee matter and advising on the organisation’s future people needs. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The role is not part of the Executive Management Team and does not involve any travel. You will work with colleagues from a range of international backgrounds in a collaborative environment. The role is based at FIFPRO House in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. OPERATIONAL HR APPROXIMATELY 50% Manage all personnel administration (e.g. personnel records, leave administration, employee insurance policies, pension arrangements, staff employment contracts). Own the salary administration and payroll cycle end to end, including all payroll changes (e.g. salary changes, allowances), wage tax and social security compliance, in collaboration with the external payroll provider. Handle payslip questions and provide first-line HR support. Manage recruitment, onboarding and offboarding. Coordinate expatriate relocation with the external relocation company and monitor agreed arrangements and specific allowances. Coordinate sickness, absence and reintegration with managers and the occupational health provider. Support performance reviews and development plans. Maintain compliant HR processes and advise on employee relations, workplace conflicts and termination cases, involving legal specialists if required. Support HR budget preparation, monitor personnel and training costs against budget, and provide reports to the COO and Finance as requested. STRATEGIC HR APPROXIMATELY 50% Develop and implement HR policies. Maintain job classification and remuneration framework. Coordinate the annual employee survey and propose improvements to employee development and retention. Coach managers to strengthen leadership and team effectiveness, and advise on organisational structure, workforce planning and potential growth assessing the capabilities and capacity FIFPRO needs. Coordinate agreed employee engagement and culture initiatives, promoting psychological safety, constructive feedback and accountability. Monitor developments in employment legislation and HR practices, identify opportunities for improvement and implement agreed changes. NEED TO HAVE: A completed bachelor’s degree in HR. At least 7 years of relevant HR experience, combining strategic responsibility with hands-on operational delivery. Strong working knowledge of Dutch employment law and experience handling complex employee relations and termination cases. HR Experience in an international multicultural working environment. Experience in organisational development, culture change and employee development. Proven experience owning salary administration and payroll, including Dutch wage tax, social security compliance and monitoring personnel and training costs against budget. Strong HR reporting skills with the ability to translate HR data into accurate reports and clear insights. Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Willingness to work 32 hours per week, primarily at our office in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. Preferably already based in the Netherlands. NICE TO HAVE: Experience working in a matrix organisation. An understanding of trade unions. Knowledge of French or Spanish. WHAT WE OFFER A competitive salary, depending on experience. An attractive benefits package, including a 13th-month salary and a good pension scheme. A company laptop and mobile phone. A modern and welcoming workplace at FIFPRO House in Hoofddorp. The opportunity to work in an international, multicultural organisation with colleagues from around the world. For FIFPRO, equity, diversity and inclusion are key to our success and long-term sustainability. Whether that’s at FIFPRO House or when representing football players worldwide, we are intentional about the culture we are building and the values we represent. At FIFRO we value diversity – in backgrounds, in experiences and of thought – and our work to advance equity, diversity and inclusion is not an add-on but everyone’s responsibility. We will send you an email to inform you about any possible next steps. FIFPRO work is dedicated to building a culturally diverse staff committed to working in a positive and inclusive pluralistic environment. Don’t meet every single requirement? About FIFPRO

Industry: Spectator Sports

Company size: 51-200 employees

In a world frequently driven by individual interests, we are a not-for-profit organisation that stands for equality and solidarity in professional football. With 66 affiliated national player associations across the world, we are committed to defending the employment conditions of footballers in what is often a short and fragile career. The world of work for professional footballers is shifting. Their global employment situation is more complex than ever. We are committed to a player-centric working environment that protects them and shapes the future of the football industry. With our member unions, we have a proud track record of supporting footballers marginalised through discrimination, unfair rules or workplace harassment. We work behind-the-scenes but also in high-profile legal cases such as those involving Jean-Marc Bosman (freedom of movement), women’s national teams (conditions) and Zahir Belounis (human rights). As the only global representative of footballers, we negotiate international rule changes with FIFA, leagues and clubs. These cover a broad range of subjects from the match calendar, to concussion protocol and the use of personal player data. With more players than ever working abroad, FIFPRO is more relevant than ever. We help coordinate support for players – and make sure their voices are heard. To best serve them, our staff are experts in subjects from sports law and football medicine to the personal development of athletes. We are a small dynamic organisation with a positive attitude. We believe in teamwork and freedom to share ideas and start initiatives. Although we have decision makers, we strive to make collective decisions. We update each other in weekly stand-ups and project insight moments, and we celebrate our successes together. Most importantly: the wellbeing of professional football players is at the heart of everything we do.
