Role : Business Consultant – Finance 📍Location: Work in a hybrid way between your home office and customer sites. You choose your base in either our new Amsterdam office at SPACES, Vijzelstraat or HQ in Middelburg (love to see you in Middelburg every couple of weeks!) And there’s real complexity to work with. Maxxton handles more than 1.5 million holiday bookings a year and every one ends up in someone's books. Deposits. Cancellations. Tourist tax. VAT that changes from country to country. There's plenty to sink your teeth into. The customers you’ll work with are hospitality experts. You’ll be their finance expert, spotting what isn’t working, explaining why and having the confidence to say so. And you'll have the backing to do just that. You'll report directly to Susan, who sets the direction, trusts your expertise and wants to hear your ideas, even the ones still taking shape. If you want more influence, more variety and the chance to shape something rather than simply deliver it, this is that kind of role. 🎯What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll advise Maxxton's customers in the Netherlands. In practice, you'll be: Telling customers what's working, what isn't and what will catch them out next year. Then helping them fix it. Guiding them through order-to-cash, from booking to invoice to ledger. Helping them stay compliant with Dutch finance and tax requirements. Teaching and enabling the Support team, so the common questions never reach your desk. If you get a kick out of helping others get better, you'll love that last part. Susan would really welcome someone who takes joy in teaching. One honest warning. Maxxton is mid-transformation. A lot is changing at once, and not everything has a process yet. Priorities shift. Above all, you'll need to get up to speed quickly. Core Responsibilities

Advise Dutch customers on finance operations, identify issues and future risks, and guide them through the order-to-cash process from booking through invoicing and ledger entries. Help customers comply with Dutch finance and tax requirements, and train the Support team to resolve common finance questions.

Requirements

Candidates should have finance consulting experience in a B2B SaaS or software business, strong order-to-cash knowledge, and confidence advising customers. A practical, action-oriented approach, comfort with change, and business proficiency in both English and Dutch are required; hospitality experience is a plus.
