Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is located just 10 minutes from Schiphol Airport and offers a free shuttle service for both guests and team members. As a Kitchen Steward / Afwasser, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our kitchens and back-of-house areas. Working closely with the kitchen team, you will play a key role in supporting efficient operations and creating a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues. This flexible 0-hour position is ideal for students, hospitality starters, or anyone looking for an extra job alongside their studies, family commitments, or other work. Responsibilities Clean and maintain china, glassware, silverware, kitchen utensils, and chefs' equipment to the highest standards. Carry out dishwashing and deep-cleaning duties for kitchen machinery, kitchen areas, storage facilities, and back-of-house colleague areas. Ensure all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with hygiene, HACCP, Health & Safety, and company standards. Support the kitchen and Food & Beverage teams by maintaining clean, organised, and safe working environments. Report maintenance issues, incidents, accidents, and safety concerns while following company procedures and guidelines. Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and efficient team environment. Essential Requirements Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required. Ability to communicate in English. Eligible to work in the Netherlands. Preferred Requirements Previous experience in a Steward, Kitchen Porter, Cleaning, or Hospitality Support role. Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cleaning procedures. Experience working in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment. Interest in developing a career in hospitality or becoming a Chef in the future. Core Responsibilities

Clean and maintain kitchenware, utensils, equipment, kitchen areas, storage facilities, and colleague areas to high hygiene and safety standards. Support kitchen and Food & Beverage operations by keeping work areas organised, reporting safety or maintenance concerns, and communicating effectively with colleagues.

Requirements

Applicants should have a positive attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexible shift availability, English communication skills, and eligibility to work in the Netherlands are required; previous hospitality or cleaning experience and basic HACCP knowledge are preferred.
