The Finance team of Conscious Group consists of 7 colleagues. As our new Finance intern you will support the team with a variety of financial tasks and projects. You will be able to develop yourself and learn a lot about this field within the hotel industry. For this internship we are not looking for people who only want to dig into numbers but especially for people who want to learn what goes on in a company and what is important. You will learn all the ins and outs of the hotel and will see what entrepreneurship entails. You get the chance to be part of a team where your knowledge and input is important and where you get the space to come up with your own ideas and possibly implement them. A day in the life of ... Processing all financial and accounting data; Affinity and knowledge with setting up financial systems; Optimising our invoice process system; Accurate booking of invoices and preparation of payments; Processing all data of (new) debtors and creditors; Follow up of accounts receivable management and accounts payable payments; Preparing reports (e.g. month-end closing, time analyses, etc.); Identifying and correcting any discrepancies, after which you inform the department managers; Being part of ad hoc requests and projects; For internships longer than 6 months we work towards independent financial management of one of our hotels. What are we looking for? You are a HBO student (finance related, but other fields of study are also welcome); You have an interest in all financial aspects of a company. You are accurate and analytical; You have high integrity (you can keep sensitive information with you); You are looking for a collaboration / graduation internship of at least 5 months, starting from February 2027; You are enthusiastic, independent and proactive; You speak Dutch and English fluently and have a good sense of language; You live in or near Amsterdam; You like to have a good time, which is not unimportant :) Join the Fun & Perks: Whether you’re an intern or a long-time team member — with us, you’re truly part of the family. Core Responsibilities

Process financial and accounting data, manage invoices and debtor and creditor records, prepare payments, and support accounts receivable and payable. Prepare financial reports, identify and report discrepancies, and contribute to ad hoc projects and financial process improvements.

Requirements

Applicants should be students at a university of applied sciences, preferably studying finance, with an interest in a company's financial operations and strong accuracy, analytical ability, integrity, and initiative. The role requires a collaboration or graduation internship of at least five months starting in February 2027, fluency in Dutch and English, and residence in or near Amsterdam.
