Role Description As a Fragrance Consultant at Jo Malone London in Amsterdam, you will provide personalized fragrance consultations and guide customers in selecting scents and products that suit their preferences and needs. You will engage visitors on the sales floor, demonstrate products, share brand stories, and create memorable in-store experiences. Daily tasks include welcoming customers, handling product inquiries, performing fragrance layering demonstrations, and processing sales transactions accurately. You will maintain visual merchandising standards, ensure testers and displays are stocked and clean, and support store events and promotions. This is a on-site role based in Amsterdam, requiring flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with the ability to build rapport and provide personalized recommendations. Solid Product Knowledge of fragrances and lifestyle products, with a passion for educating customers on scent notes, layering, and brand heritage. Retail Sales experience, including meeting sales goals, handling transactions, and working in a fast-paced store environment. Background or interest in Cosmetology, beauty, or fragrance, with an eye for aesthetics and presentation. Ability to work on-site in Amsterdam with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining displays, stock levels, and store standards. Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues to deliver a consistent luxury experience. Proficiency in Dutch & English; additional language skills (such as French, Spanish or other languages) are an advantage. Prior experience in premium or luxury retail is preferred but not required.

Provide personalized fragrance consultations, recommend products, demonstrate fragrance layering, and share brand stories to create memorable customer experiences. Process sales, maintain clean and well-stocked displays, uphold visual merchandising standards, and support store events and promotions.

Requirements

Candidates should have strong customer service and communication skills, fragrance or beauty product knowledge, and retail sales experience; prior premium or luxury retail experience is preferred but not required. The role requires Dutch and English proficiency, an organized and team-oriented approach, and flexibility to work on-site in Amsterdam during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
