Company Description The Hoxton, Lloyd is set in a historic building in Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands, bringing together a unique mix of heritage, design and culture. With 136 bedrooms, vibrant public spaces and a strong connection to the neighbourhood, our hotel is a place where guests and locals come together. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Front Office Intern to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our Front Office. Reporting to our Front Office Manager, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests meet, helping create a warm welcome and a memorable experience from arrival to departure. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hotel operations, guest relations and the little details that make a stay at The Hoxton feel different. Job Description What you'll do... You're the first face our guests see, and you have your own way of treating them as individuals, making them feel welcome and their stay special - the Hox way Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy, and help our Front Office Manager with any overbooking levels Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations to the best show to see and the latest pop-up restaurant to try in the area - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to You’re our gatekeeper for the hotel. You know who’s who and what’s what. And yes, there’s a little admin... Some expenses, some lists and a stationary order or two. But let’s face it, we know you love that! Qualifications What We're Looking For... Core Responsibilities

Welcome guests and support their experience throughout arrival, stay, and departure, including handling check-in and check-out, bills, phone calls, requests, and local recommendations. Coordinate with hotel teams on occupancy and overbooking, and assist the Front Office Manager with administrative tasks.

Requirements

The role calls for a helpful, positive, guest-focused attitude, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively while creating memorable guest experiences. Previous hotel or similar experience is beneficial but not required; applicants must be available for at least six months.
