Job Description

Company Description The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Since opening our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve always been about more than just offering a bed for the night. We create spaces where guests and locals come together, with great design, vibrant public spaces and a genuine connection to the neighbourhood. At The Hoxton, Lloyd, our people are at the heart of what we do. As a People & Culture Intern, you’ll work closely with our People & Culture Manager, supporting the day-to-day people operations and helping create a great experience for our team, from their first day to their last. We’re looking for someone to join us for 5–6 months, ideally starting in January 2027. Have a different start date in mind? We’re happy to discuss it. Job Description What you'll do… Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial candidate calls and interview planning. Post vacancies on our careers page and relevant recruitment platforms to help us find the right people. Help welcome new team members by coordinating onboarding, organising coffee chats and making sure they feel at home from day one. Keep employee records and HR systems up to date, including setting up accounts and supporting administrative processes. Track training completion and assist with organising training sessions and development activities. Help bring our team together by organising team events, celebrations and engagement initiatives. Support internal communication, keeping the team informed about important updates, activities and opportunities. Assist with everyday P&C administration, from scanning and filing documents to ordering business cards and preparing paperwork. Handle employee information with care and confidentiality. Be a go-to person for the team, helping colleagues with questions and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. Qualifications What We're Looking For… Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related field. Available for a 5–6 month internship, ideally starting in January 2027. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a strong plus. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and quick to pick up new systems. Well organised, proactive and able to keep a few plates spinning at once. Interested in recruitment, employee experience and what makes a team thrive. Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential employee information. A natural people person who communicates easily, enjoys helping others and knows how to make people feel welcome. Individuals. Be yourself – no clones in suits here. A team player who leaves their ego at the door, rolls up their sleeves and gets things done. Additional Information What's In It For You… €750 gross per month, based on a full-time internship. Food on us during your shift. Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us. Training and development opportunities to help you grow throughout your internship. Time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities. Hox Hero, our reward for going the extra mile and living our values. A chance to get involved in our diversity and inclusion initiatives and help make The Hoxton a welcoming place for everyone. Regular team get-togethers, celebrations and parties – we work hard, but we make time to have fun, too. The opportunity to take ownership, share ideas and make a real contribution to the employee experience. Join a creative, international and fast-growing hospitality group that isn't afraid to challenge the norm. Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family.
