Job Description

Product Engineer Seatchamp is the leading sports travel platform in Europe. We helps fans travel to live football, Formula 1 and other sporting events. We're an established online travel business with real scale, strong local brands and a proven model in 12+ markets. Now we're entering our next phase: bringing our local brands together under one Seatchamp brand and building the leading sports travel platform in Europe. Tickets, hotels and travel, with prices and availability that keep changing. Nobody has made that simple yet. Product decides how fast and how well we get there. This is a new role, not a seat in an existing product department. You find the few changes that make a real difference, and you make them happen yourself. The role As a Product Engineer you own a part of our customer journey from problem to production. You design, build, ship and measure improvements yourself, with AI as your main tool. How you'll work You take a customer problem and own it end to end: Understand: talk to customers, dig into the data and find where the journey breaks down or could be better. Build: use AI tools to turn your idea into working software, fast. Verify: check that what AI built does what you intended and fits our product and site: behaviour, edge cases, consistency and the effect on the rest of the platform. Ship: take it live and own it in production. Measure: test it with real customers, measure the impact and keep improving. What you'll work on Your own part of the customer journey (for example discovery, search, package configuration, pricing or checkout), with clear KPIs you're accountable for. Finding friction and removing it, measured in conversion and customer value. Making complex products, prices, availability and choices simple to understand. Running experiments and combining analytics, behaviour, interviews and user testing to decide what to build and prove what works. Setting priorities directly with our management team, with no layers in between. Who you are You build and ship. You've created and launched things yourself, at work or on the side: a product, a tool, an AI product used by real people. You can show us. You're AI-native. You use tools like Claude Code, Cursor or similar to turn ideas into working software. Your background can be engineering, product, design or something else. What counts is that you ship real things with AI. You check what AI builds. You verify that the result is what you intended and fits our product and site, and you catch what automated checks don't. You think in systems. You see how a change in one place affects the rest of the platform, from homepage to checkout. You think like a customer and a business. You understand funnels, A/B testing and how product choices affect conversion and margin. You have strong judgement. You separate high-impact opportunities from noise, you form your own view on how the product should work, and you can defend it. You move fast. You see delay as a real cost, choose imperfect over late when that's the right call, and own the result. You work in a structured way. You set clear goals, keep track of what you decided and why, and keep your work moving without anyone chasing you. You have design sense. You care about clean, simple interfaces, and your work shows it. You're resourceful and curious. You find a way without resources or permission, and you dig into the why, even outside your scope. Experience in e-commerce, travel or another transaction-driven business is a plus, not a requirement. What we offer Real ownership: you decide what gets built, and you build and ship it. Work that reaches customers in days, not quarters, used by fans across Europe. A central role in building Europe's leading sports travel platform. A passionate, international team of tech, sports and travel lovers. A hybrid role: at least two days a week with the team at our office in B. Amsterdam (B2 building). Competitive pay matching the impact and seniority of the role.

Core Responsibilities

Own a defined part of the customer journey from identifying customer problems through designing, building, verifying, shipping, and measuring product improvements. Use customer research, analytics, and experiments to reduce friction, improve conversion and customer value, and continuously refine the product.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to build and launch real products or tools, using AI development tools and carefully verifying the resulting software. Strong product judgment, systems thinking, customer and business orientation, design sense, and the ability to work independently and quickly are expected; experience in e-commerce, travel, or another transaction-driven business is a plus.

Benefits

  • Hybrid Work
  • Competitive Pay
