Job Description

Creative Business Coordinator 24–32 hours per week · Rotterdam / hybrid AMUD is an internationally active experience design studio working across healthcare, wellness, interiors, brand experience and technology. We operate between disciplines — not a traditional architecture office, branding agency or interior studio. Our work connects spatial environments, brand systems, user journeys and strategic experience concepts for clients across Europe and beyond. We are at a clear growth moment and are looking for a Creative Business Coordinator who understands the creative industry at a high level and can take ownership of the studio’s relationships, communications, partnerships and visibility. What the role covers Partnerships and outreach: identifying, approaching and managing relationships with potential clients, partners, collaborators and brands. Moving conversations forward and keeping them warm. Current focus areas include healthcare, wellness and longevity, technology and future-forward initiatives. Brand relationships and communications: building and managing a network of relevant brands, platforms, publications, event organizers and industry figures. Knowing who matters in the industries AMUD operates in and making sure the right connections are maintained and developed. Visibility and PR: award research and submissions, editorial outreach, speaking invitations, press and publication opportunities. Knowing what is relevant and making sure AMUD is in front of it at the right moment. Events, keynotes and industry positioning, building a forward calendar of conferences, festivals, panels and industry moments. Identifying speaking, podcast and collaboration opportunities and moving them forward proactively. Content and studio presence: taking ownership of a consistent and considered studio presence. Not volume-driven content, but purposeful communication that reflects AMUD’s positioning. Someone who understands the vision and acts on it. Studio coordination, keeping priorities, follow-ups and action points organized and moving. Supporting proposals, materials and client documentation. Coordinating suppliers and external collaborators. Project support as active projects develop, supporting planning and coordination between team, clients and partners. Who this is for You know the creative industry and you know it at a certain level. Your references are not generic, you follow studios, brands, cultural institutions and innovators that are actually doing something interesting. You know the difference between work that is considered and work that just looks like it. You follow what is happening in design, culture, healthcare, technology and spatial experience because you are genuinely interested, not because it is part of the job description. You are naturally articulate in both Dutch and English; not just correct, but fluent in the real sense. You navigate conversations with ease, adjust your register without effort, and communicate in a way that feels considered without being labored. In writing and in person, you represent well. You are fluent across communication formats. Pitches, proposals, partnership messages and follow-ups that are sharp, well-calibrated and represent the studio correctly. You write like someone who understands the room they are writing into. You take ownership. You move things forward without being asked, follow up without being chased, and work from the vision rather than from a task list. You are organized and persistent without losing quality. You hold multiple threads, close loops and keep things moving — without what goes out ever feeling rushed or off. You are comfortable representing a studio that works at the intersection of spatial design, brand, healthcare and technology to audiences who understand that world. Requirements 2–4 years of experience in communications, partnerships, creative agency coordination, PR, creative business or a directly related field Degree in communications, creative business, design management, cultural studies, business development or comparable — from a program with a serious focus on the creative or cultural industries. Naturally articulate in Dutch and English: written and spoken, able to navigate professional conversations in both languages with ease and confidence Based in the Netherlands Strong writing across formats: pitches, proposals, emails, summaries High aesthetic and cultural awareness: you know what considered, high-quality creative work looks like across disciplines Commercially aware and able to think strategically about relationships and positioning Self-directed and comfortable in a fast-moving, non-hierarchical studio environment Digitally capable: Microsoft Office / Teams / OneDrive, Adobe Creative Suite basics, Figma Available to travel for projects, client meetings and industry events Nice to have Experience working with or alongside studios, brands or organizations operating at a high creative standard An existing network in design, healthcare, technology or cultural industries Familiarity with Webflow, Notion, Mailchimp or CRM tools French — spoken and written What you get A central role in a growing, award-winning studio working internationally across a genuinely new model, experience design at the intersection of architecture, brand and human experiences. A role with real ownership across communications, partnerships and studio presence. Direct involvement in how the studio grows and how it is perceived. Room to develop as the studio develops. 24–32 hours per week, hybrid, Rotterdam-based. Salary based on experience. How to apply Send your CV and a short motivation to [email protected] In your motivation, name two brands, spaces or experiences — in healthcare, technology, culture or innovation — that you think have gotten experience design right. Tell us what they got right and why it’s hard to do.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with clients, partners, brands, publications, and industry organizations, while advancing PR, award submissions, speaking opportunities, events, and studio visibility. Coordinate studio priorities, proposals, suppliers, collaborators, and project support, ensuring communications and follow-ups reflect the studio’s positioning.

Requirements

Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience, a degree in a related creative, communications, cultural, or business field, and professional fluency in Dutch and English. They should bring strong writing, cultural and aesthetic awareness, commercial judgment, self-direction, digital capability, and availability to travel; experience with Webflow, Notion, Mailchimp, CRM tools, or French is a plus.
