About the Company J&T Express is a global logistics service provider specializing in express delivery and e-commerce logistics. As we expand our operations across the Benelux region, we are building our local team to support business growth and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. About the Role We are looking for an HSE Specialist to support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across our Benelux operations. The role will focus on regulatory compliance, risk prevention, incident management, and promoting a strong safety culture across our operational network. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations in the Netherlands, and support local compliance across Belgium and Luxembourg. Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments, maintain the Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) and related action plans, and follow up on corrective measures. Monitor safety practices across sorting centers, warehouses, transportation activities, and last-mile operations. Identify potential hazards and drive continuous improvement. Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses; identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Organize HSE training and promote safety awareness among employees, contractors, and operational partners. Support preventive maintenance coordination, workplace improvements, and safety-related facility projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant experience in HSE in logistics, express delivery, transportation, warehousing, or industrial operations. Good knowledge of Dutch health and safety regulations, including the Arbowet, RI&E, and Plan van Aanpak. Relevant Preventiemedewerker training or qualification; VCA VOL certification is an advantage. Experience in workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action management. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple operational teams. Fluent in English and Dutch, French is an advantage for supporting operations in Belgium. Willingness to travel across the Benelux region as required.

Core Responsibilities

Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across Benelux operations by conducting inspections and risk assessments, maintaining RI&E action plans, and monitoring safety practices. Investigate incidents, implement preventive measures, organize training, and support facility improvements and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field, plus 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience. Candidates should know Dutch regulations, including the Arbowet and RI&E, have relevant Preventiemedewerker training or qualification, and be fluent in Dutch and English; VCA VOL certification and French are advantages.
