Job Description

As Treasury Manager you will be the central point of treasury expertise across the group. You take ownership of cash visibility, liquidity forecasting, working capital, banking, bank guarantees and financial risk from day one. At the same time, you further strengthen a future-proof Group Treasury function: the policies, controls, systems and reporting which will support our continued growth. This is a hands-on role in a lean, PE-backed environment. You will work closely with Group Finance leadership, local finance teams, accounting, tax, legal and procurement, and you will be a key counterpart for our banks, lenders, shareholders and advisers. What we offer A key role with direct visibility to Group Finance leadership, the Board and our shareholders. The opportunity to shape and build the Group Treasury function in a growing international group. Exposure to M&A, financing and strategic projects in a PE-backed environment. A challenging role within an internationally operating organization. You will join a motivated team in an informal and dynamic work culture. An attractive salary with a 13th month. 8% holiday allowance based on the gross annual salary. 27 vacation days per year. Extensive opportunities for personal development and training. A solid pension scheme. Mobility options. Who you are A hands-on key contributor who takes ownership and gets things done. Proactive, assertive and ambitious, with the drive to build a function rather than maintain one. Able to work independently and prioritise in a fast-moving environment. A clear communicator who can explain complex financial topics to finance colleagues, the Board and investors. Structured, accurate and control-minded, while pragmatic and flexible. Uncompromising on integrity and compliance. What you will do Cash, liquidity and working capital Own and execute day-to-day treasury operations at group level, including daily cash and liquidity management so that the group meets its obligations on time and makes efficient use of its resources. Implement a group-wide cash flow forecasting process (short-term and 13-week rolling forecast), guide the business units and own consolidated cash reporting. Maintain and improve the cash management structure, including cash pooling and zero-balancing across entities. Drive working capital improvement together with local finance and operational teams, with a focus on receivables, payables and cash conversion. Manage intercompany flows, internal funding structures and intercompany charge processes and documentation. Own and further develop the treasury management system (Nomentia) to improve cash visibility, payment control and automation. Banking and financing Oversee all group banking relationships and act as primary day-to-day contact for our banking partners across the world and drive improvements in the banking landscape and account structure. Manage the loan portfolio, repayments, drawdowns and financing products in line with the group’s financing agreements. Manage bank guarantee and ancillary facilities and ensure compliance with all bank and facility documentation. Coordinate communication with the facility agent and respond to lender information requests. Support ongoing and future funding needs across entities, including refinancing and amendment processes. Maintain bank mandates, KYC requirements and signatory frameworks. Financial risk and controls Manage foreign exchange risk end-to-end: analyse exposures, recommend hedge positions, place trades with counterparties and report on hedge positions. Confirm commodity and interest rate hedges with counterparties and process their follow-up, including settlements, cash impact and accounting. Own financial covenant monitoring and reporting, including forward-looking headroom analysis. Develop and maintain the Group Treasury policy, payment controls and segregation of duties. Reporting, stakeholders and growth Prepare treasury, liquidity and covenant reporting for Group Finance, the Board, shareholders and lenders. Contribute to Board, shareholder and lender presentations. Support the year-end audit and external advisers on treasury-related matters. Support treasury workstreams in acquisitions, including funding, bank account set-up, KYC processes and cash structuring. Integrate newly acquired entities into group cash management, banking and reporting processes. What you bring 5+ years of experience in treasury or corporate finance, ideally in an international, multi-entity group. PE-backed or leveraged finance experience is a strong plus. Proven experience in operational treasury: cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, cash pooling and intercompany flows. Hands-on experience with banking relationships, loan facilities and financial covenants from a corporate borrower perspective. Working knowledge of FX, interest rate and ideally commodity hedging. Experience with ERP systems, banking platforms and treasury management systems. Nomentia experience is an advantage. Advanced Excel and cash flow modelling skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Fluent English. Dutch is an advantage given our Netherlands base. Start Date: To be agreed upon. Please note: providing a certificate of good conduct (VOG) is also part of our recruitment process. Please note: Blue Phoenix does not accept unsolicited candidate introductions or CVs from recruitment agencies for this vacancy. Any candidates submitted by agencies without a signed agreement in place will be considered a direct application, and no fee will be payable.
