Job Description

Odoo is the operational backbone of MR MARVIS, the system of record that Buying, Fulfilment, and Finance all rely on to make decisions, move stock, and serve customers across multiple markets and channels.

As our Product Owner, you will become the single internal owner, gatekeeper, and connector for our Odoo ecosystem. You will translate business needs into well-specified technical requirements, safeguard cross-team workflows, and ensure our ERP scales seamlessly alongside our growing omnichannel operation.

About MR MARVIS

MR MARVIS is an Amsterdam-based menswear brand, dedicated to creating the perfect shorts, trousers and tops. As a Certified B Corporation, we’re proud to be part of a community of companies working together for change, and taking part in collective action to advocate for a shared goal of a global economy that benefits people and the planet.

What started in 2016 with three founders has now grown into a team of 300+ people representing 40+ nationalities. Having established a strong online presence across Europe, we’re now growing our international retail network. Today, you’ll find us in cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and London.

We make slow fashion, with timeless design and craftsmanship at the centre. We are dedicated to doing better every day, creating value for our team, our suppliers, our customers, and everyone who interacts with our business.

What you'll do

  • Requirements & Translation: Gather business needs across Buying & Planning, Operations & Fulfilment, and Finance, translating them into clear, actionable technical specifications for development.

  • Strong scope discipline: demonstrated ability to re-baseline scope (MVP vs. deferred state) and prevent custom builds that complicate future upgrades and migrations.

  • Intake & Backlog Prioritisation: Act as the single gatekeeper for new requests, maintaining a prioritised backlog that aligns with business goals rather than ad-hoc demand.

  • Cross-Team Dependency Ownership: Protect end-to-end process flows so that fixes or updates in one module do not impact another team's workflow.

  • Ecosystem & Data Flow Ownership: Oversee how Odoo integrates with surrounding systems, including 3PLs, e-commerce, POS, middleware, and return software, ensuring seamless, automated data flow.

  • Testing, Acceptance & Adoption: Coordinate cross-team testing, formally sign off on delivered work before production release, and drive end-user training and adoption across teams.

  • Roadmap & Process Continuity: Maintain a forward-looking roadmap (including Odoo’s 2-year migration cycles), enforce scope discipline, and document process knowledge so continuity is built into the business.

  • Technical Safeguarding: Optionally sitting in on technical discussions to safeguard business intent without leading the technical solution itself.

What you'll bring

Essential

  • At least 8 years of experience in a Product Owner, Systems Specialist, or Business Systems Analyst role within complex operational or ERP environments.

  • Proven track record as a Product Owner, Systems Specialist, or Business Analyst within ERP, supply chain, or operations technology environments.

  • Strong systems and chain thinking, able to anticipate how changes in Operations & fulfilment ripple into finance and data flows.

  • Broad understanding of retail tech ecosystems (ERP, e-commerce platforms, 3PL, middleware, RMA tooling, supplier integration).

  • Skilled in requirements translation, backlog prioritization, and acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical developers/partners.

  • Confident builder mindset, comfortable establishing structure and process discipline in a fast-paced scale-up.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Odoo specifically.

  • Background in fashion, retail operations, or omnichannel supply chain.

  • Experience in vendor management and external partner governance.

  • Familiarity with Lean or continuous process improvement methodologies.
