📢 Upcoming Multilingual Code-Switching Speech Data Collection Project Translingoworld Private Limited is inviting experienced speech data collection agencies, independent contributors, and vendor partners to participate in an upcoming Dutch speech data project supporting Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model training. We are looking for partners who can recruit eligible native Dutch speakers, coordinate recording sessions, and deliver recordings that meet strict linguistic, technical, and consent requirements. 🎯 Project Overview Target language: Dutch (Netherlands) Language code: nl-NL Initial evaluation: One 15-minute sample recording Potential full-scale requirement: 200 hours of speech data 🎙️ Sample Recording Requirements Each sample must meet all the following criteria: ✅ Speakers: Two adults aged 18 or above, both native speakers of Dutch as used in the Netherlands and proficient in English. ✅ Natural conversation: A spontaneous, unscripted conversation between the two participants. ✅ Code-switching: Approximately 85% Dutch and 10–15% English. Code-switching must occur naturally throughout the conversation, primarily within sentences. English must not be read from a list or inserted on cue. ✅ Recording environment: A quiet, enclosed environment with minimal background noise and no third-party voices. ✅ Audio format: Stereo WAV, with one speaker isolated on each audio channel. Mono or mixed-down recordings will not be accepted. ✅ Sample rate: Between 16 kHz and 48 kHz. ✅ Audio quality: Clear, intelligible, distortion-free speech throughout. ✅ Authenticity and consent: Recordings must contain genuine live human conversation—not scripted or AI-generated dialogue. Appropriate signed consent covering commercial ASR model training must be obtained before recording. 🤝 Who Can Apply? We welcome applications from: Language and speech data collection agencies. Requirements
