Job Description

About Adsomnia We are the agency where innovation meets impact every second of the day! With access to thousands of exclusive entertainment websites, we offer great opportunities to advertisers to amplify their brands’ online visibility. Our team, driven by transparency, works tirelessly to ensure that not only the goals are met, but exceeded. At Adsomnia, we believe in building relationships that last and delivering results that matter. Behind every campaign is a business that’s growing fast across multiple entities, with finance at its core. If you want to own the numbers, build a finance function from the ground up, and be the person the Managing Director turns to for insight, Adsomnia is the place for you. What you'll do as our Finance Manager As Finance Manager, you are responsible for the complete finance function across Adsomnia’s entities. You ensure accurate and reliable financial administration, timely monthly reporting, strong financial controls, and an efficient year-end and audit process. You independently manage the monthly closing, including reconciliations, balance sheet control, P&L, cash flow, and management reporting. You explain key developments and provide financial insights to the Managing Director. You also coordinate the annual external audit or accountant review, ensuring that documentation, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are complete and audit-ready. A key responsibility is to professionalise and further develop the finance function. You improve financial processes, controls, reporting, and systems and actively look for opportunities to automate manual work and make Finance more scalable. We are looking for someone who enjoys building and improving a finance function and who wants to grow alongside a growing organisation. As the company develops, you are expected to help Finance develop with it by introducing more structure, automation, controls, and better financial insights. This role is a natural next step in your finance career, giving you the opportunity to take broader ownership and develop into a well-rounded Finance Manager. As the senior finance professional, you lead and support the finance team and act as the main financial sparring partner for the Managing Director. Areas of responsibilities as our Finance Manager: Financial Administration & Control: Responsible for the financial administration. Ensure all transactions and balance sheet positions are complete, accurate, and properly reconciled. Resolve accounting issues and maintain high data quality. Month-End & Reporting: Independently manage the monthly closing process. Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and relevant management reports. Analyse and explain key financial developments and variances. Year-End & Audit: Responsible for the year-end closing process. Independently coordinate the external audit or accountant review. Maintain audit-ready documentation and act as the main contact for auditors and accountants. Process Improvement & Automation: Improve finance processes, controls, and reporting. Identify manual and inefficient activities and implement more scalable solutions. Use systems, integrations, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy. Develop the finance function in line with the growth and increasing complexity of the organisation. Finance Leadership & Business Partnership: Support and develop the finance team. Act as the main finance contact within the organisation. Support the Managing Director with financial insights around profitability, cash flow, risks, and business decisions. Job requirements for our Finance Manager: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, accounting, or finance operations. Experience working within Dutch based entities handling fiscal and statutory matters. Experience managing complete financial administrations and month-end closings. Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems. Experience supporting junior colleagues is an advantage. Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English is a must.
