Overview We now wish to recruit a (MEP) Project Manager to support projects on site for a client in the region of Groningen in The Netherlands. This person will be working as part of the site project engineering team managing (mainly) brownfield projects. This function is open for freelancers and employees. Responsibilities As owner representative: Point of contact for AE/GC/CM/Subcontractors for project related concerns in Preconstruction phase Create and establish the Master Project Budget, including soft costs and hard costs, bonds, insurance, contingencies, allowances, etc. Support Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations Assist client in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of all Owner-direct vendors and consultant Construction phase: Manage General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground Manage Cost / Change Control Close out / Fit Up / Hand-over / Commissioning : Initiate close out process prior to project completion Establish close out documentation requirements. Collect and track receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc. Identify potential issues and raise and report these Qualifications Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction sites. Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Relevant certifications and qualifications Experience with infrastructure or any complex projects, ... Good knowledge of Primavera P6 English speaking (knowledge of Dutch is an advantage, not a must have) You are quickly available and possess a work permit to work in Belgium Why PM Group? Core Responsibilities

Represent the owner throughout preconstruction by developing the master project budget, supporting contractor qualification and bidding, and coordinating owner-direct vendors and consultants. Manage contractors, vendors, cost and change control during construction, then oversee closeout documentation, fit-up, handover, and commissioning.

Requirements

Requires proven project management experience on construction sites and a strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting, along with leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with infrastructure or complex projects and good knowledge of Primavera P6 are sought; English is required, Dutch is advantageous, and candidates must be quickly available and hold a work permit to work in Belgium.
