Qualifications Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); minimum of six (6) months of security or bailiff experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Licensure Or Certification Requirements Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; weapons and L.E.A.D.S certifications required or must be able to obtain such certifications within the required period. Core Responsibilities

Under the direct authority of the Chief Probation Officer, the Deputy Bailiff is responsible for the security of the Municipal Court. The role uses security equipment and standard office equipment, including a motor vehicle, firearm, pepper spray, radio, and electronic monitoring equipment.

Requirements

Applicants must have completed secondary education or an equivalent qualification and have at least six months of security or bailiff experience or training, or an equivalent combination. A valid Ohio driver's license and required weapons and LEADS certifications are required, though certifications may be obtained within the required period.
