Junior Compliance & Risk Analyst
Key Skills
Job Description
Cross Options Group is looking for: Junior Compliance & Risk Analyst About Cross Options Cross Options is a proprietary trading firm (regulated by the AFM, the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets) that trades derivatives and other financial instruments for its own account. In every aspect of our business we operate at the forefront of technology, always using the latest AI and other tools. Thanks to our compact organisation, the lines between trading, compliance and management are short — decisions are made quickly and you are always close to the action. The role This vacancy relates to our trading activities. You will work at the intersection of two worlds that we deliberately bring together. On the one hand, you monitor the financial risks of our book: market and position risk, counterparty risk and liquidity risk. On the other, you keep a close eye on the licensing and operational side: the Wft licences (under the Dutch Financial Supervision Act) held by our trading entities, MiFID II obligations, market abuse surveillance under MAR, EMIR reporting and the ICT risk requirements under DORA. You report to the senior compliance manager and the senior risk manager, and you see first-hand how financial and non-financial risks interact — something you will rarely find combined in a single role at a large organisation. What you bring • A completed university degree at Master's level, for example in law, business administration, finance or econometrics • 1 to 3 years' experience in compliance and/or risk management, preferably at an investment firm or another institution regulated under the Wft • A sharp mind and the drive to understand why a rule or risk limit exists — not just that it exists • Independence: in a small organisation, you will often work while carrying your own responsibility quickly • Affinity with numbers What we offer • A broad, autonomous role in which you are responsible for both financial and non-financial risks, rather than just one slice of them • Direct lines to the senior compliance manager, the senior risk manager and the management board • Room to help shape the discipline further within a small, growing organisation • A competitive salary and benefits package Interested? Please send your CV and a short motivation to [email protected]. For questions about the role, contact Jorden Spijker (Risk Manager, [email protected]) or Mark van der Werf (Compliance Manager, [email protected]).

Requirements
A completed master's-level university degree is required, for example in law, business administration, finance, or econometrics.
