How would you connect systems when a standard integration is not enough? At Semmtech, you will design, build and deploy integrations that clients use in practice. You will work directly with clients and experienced solution architects, helping determine the technical approach and taking solutions from concept to production. Your work will combine Python, APIs, semantic data pipelines and graph infrastructure to connect applications, databases and front-end systems. Senior Integration Engineer Hoofddorp + at client sites across the Netherlands Full-time (40 hours) or parttime (32–36 hours) Hybrid working, 1–2 days remote per week. The role You will work alongside experienced senior solution architects, bringing your own integration expertise to the team. You will visit clients, clarify their requirements and translate complex problems into solutions you design, build and deploy yourself. Some of what you build is tailor-made for a single client. Other solutions evolve into reusable products used across multiple organisations. Together with a product owner or innovation lead, you define the approach and make decisions on technology and architecture. You take ideas from initial concept through to production-ready solutions that are used in practice. What you will do · Analyse processes and information flows to design integration solutions. · Build integrations, APIs and semantic data pipelines that connect applications, databases and front-end systems. · Transform pipeline output into the required data schemas and make it available to other systems. · Configure endpoints and authentication, and optimise query performance. · Contribute to technical architecture decisions alongside solution architects and engineers. · Work with clients’ IT and development teams to integrate solutions with enterprise systems. · Document your solutions and coach colleagues so that integration knowledge is shared across the team. · Identify gaps in existing solutions and propose improvements. You in this role You have a background in software engineering, data science or cloud solutions. You are comfortable working on problems that aren't fully defined and you take ownership of your approach - from design to deployment. What you bring 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data science and data engineering or cloud solutions. Experience with platform integration. Strong Python skills. Experience taking solutions from design into production. Experience across different technologies and platforms, rather than working exclusively within one technology stack. A structured approach to integration problems and the ability to explain technical choices and trade-offs. You work independently and are comfortable with open-ended problems. A plus Experience with Docker and Cloud deployments (AWS or Azure). Familiarity with RDF data pipelines and SPARQL-based data access patterns. Affinity with semantic models . Experience with MS Fabric and other data integration technologies. You do not need prior experience with knowledge graphs, GraphRAG or RDF. You will learn this here. In this position, you will lead solution design, mentor junior team members, and take full ownership of client-facing integrations. OR Transition to Platform Engineer: Yes, moving into platform engineering is a very natural progression. Because you will be working closely with APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker), and automated deployment pipelines, expanding into platform engineering allows you to focus deeply on underlying infrastructure, platform reliability, and developer tooling. What we offer Salary between € 54,000 and € 70,000 gross p/y (full-time, 40 hours, including 8% holiday allowance). Where you land in that range depends on your experience and what you have independently built and deployed. Performance bonus and, depending on results, a profit sharing bonus. 28 holidays. Candidates should have taken solutions from design to production, be comfortable across technologies and open-ended problems, and communicate technical choices and trade-offs clearly.
