Marketing & Customer Research Intern
€300 per month
Key Skills
Job Description
About us At Zympler we’re on a mission to accelerate decarbonisation through electrification despite grid congestion and existing limitations of our electricity grids. We do so by providing insights into our customers' power peaks and by mitigating them through smart steering of flexible assets like batteries, charging stations, heat pumps, and more. The combination of our cloud-hosted energy management system (EMS) and local gateway enables this at scale. About the role We are looking for a curious and analytical intern to help us answer an important question: does the message we communicate match our target audience, and what channels could enhance message performance? As Zympler grows, we want to better understand how our existing and potential customers perceive our messaging, which problems and benefits resonate with them, and whether our current target audiences and communication channels are the right ones for our solutions. A large part of your role will involve conducting qualitative interviews with existing and potential customers to explore their needs, challenges and perceptions, and discover which messages resonate with which audiences. You will also take a close look at our website and marketing channels, including LinkedIn. You will investigate which messages and content work, which don't, and why. This includes evaluating our website's messaging per page and as a whole, as well as analysing our current channel performance and identifying improvement opportunities through testing different messages and approaches. Beyond our existing channels, you will have the opportunity to explore new channels we aren't using yet and assess whether they could help us reach and engage our target audiences more effectively. We are especially interested in qualitative research, but are open to additional methods, such as surveys, user testing, message testing and content experiments. We also encourage you to bring your own ideas and propose approaches that could generate valuable insights. For a graduation internship, there is plenty of room to develop this into a more academically structured research project with a clear research question and methodology. Responsibilities Conducting qualitative interviews with existing and potential customers. Identifying key needs, benefits and opportunities in our audience targeting. Analysing our website messaging and identifying improvement opportunities across pages. Analysing our current marketing channels to understand which content and messages resonate, and identifying new channels. Exploring and testing different messages, content formats and communication approaches. Translating and presenting research findings into actionable marketing recommendations. Requirements Studying Marketing, Communication, Consumer Behaviour, Market Research, Psychology, Business, or a related field. Interest in qualitative research and conducting interviews. Independent, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of your research. Fluent in Dutch & comfortable communicating in English. Be present at our Utrecht office regularly. Compensation We offer €300 per month in internship compensation. You will work closely with our marketing and communications team and have the opportunity to conduct research that directly influences how Zympler communicates with its customers and potential customers. You’ll also become part of a growing team working on accelerating the energy transition, with plenty of opportunity to learn, ask questions and contribute with your own ideas. How to apply Apply here directly, or send your resume to [email protected]. Tell us a little about yourself, and what interests you about this research. We’ll then schedule an interview to get to know you and discuss the research project in more detail.
