About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join Sia’s dynamic Data Science team. In this role, you will lead internal teams in the development of cutting-edge AI products, working closely with multidisciplinary teams on client projects to deliver impactful solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in making architectural and design decisions for cloud environments, building production-level machine learning and AI solutions with robust software engineering practices, and guiding data scientists in scaling their models into operational systems. You will also be responsible for sharing knowledge through training sessions, leading internal meetings, organizing external events, and representing your work through blog articles, conference presentations, and press releases. Core Responsibilities

Lead and mentor teams developing AI and machine learning products, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client solutions. Make cloud architecture decisions, build production-ready ML systems, help data scientists deploy and optimize models, and share expertise through training, events, and thought leadership.

Requirements

Requires an MSc in a relevant technical field and 2–4 years of experience building production-quality machine learning or deep learning pipelines and models. Candidates should have strong ML fundamentals, Python and another listed programming language, database and cloud experience, familiarity with Unix and DevOps tools and big data technologies, and the ability to mentor engineers; English fluency is required, with Dutch proficiency or willingness to develop it.
