Role Description The Housekeeper role at DCA Schoonmaak is a full-time, on-site position based in Amsterdam. In this role, the Housekeeper ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are consistently clean, tidy, and presentable according to hospitality standards. Day-to-day tasks include cleaning and sanitizing rooms and bathrooms, making beds, replenishing linens and amenities, and maintaining common areas such as corridors and lobbies. The Housekeeper may also handle basic laundry duties, report maintenance issues, and follow safety and hygiene procedures. Collaboration with hotel and restaurant teams, clear communication, and professional interaction with guests and colleagues are key aspects of the role. Qualifications Ability to perform thorough cleaning and housekeeping tasks with strong attention to detail and high hygiene standards. Skills in laundry care, including sorting, washing, drying, and handling linens and textiles appropriately. Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests, team members, and supervisors. Strong organization skills to manage daily task lists, prioritize workloads, and maintain orderly storage areas. Willingness to participate in training and follow established procedures, checklists, and safety protocols. Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays when required. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is an advantage; basic proficiency in English or Dutch is beneficial.
