Job Description

Why we are here

Together, we can fight exploitation in cocoa. Full stop.

Tony’s is an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. And to drive that mission forward, our Product Delivery team plays a key role in making sure our projects run smoothly, and our product portfolio keeps growing.

We're managing a diverse range of projects, from product innovation (think: a brand-new bar flavor) and product renovation (like redesigning packaging) to product roll-outs and operational projects (such as ingredient supplier changeovers). We're also upgrading our tools (hello, ClickUp and SharePoint) and moving from Excel to BI for our product catalogue. And that's where you come in.

We're looking for a Product Project Management Intern to join our Product Delivery team in Amsterdam. If you're excited about running cross-functional projects in FMCG, getting hands-on with PM tools, and turning messy spreadsheets into smart dashboards, this is your backstage pass.

Here's what you'll learn:

  • Project management. Learn how cross-functional projects are managed within an FMCG company, from kick-off to launch on shelf. You'll be involved in product innovation projects (e.g. developing new bar flavors), product renovation projects (e.g. changing a product's packaging or design), product roll-outs, and operational projects (e.g. ingredient supplier changeover). You'll support running these projects and even execute smaller ones yourself.

  • PMO (process & PM admin). Understand how a project management tool can support project management and governance. Get hands-on with ClickUp (Tony’s project management tool) and SharePoint to build and optimize templates, dashboards, and processes.

  • Portfolio management. Maintain and understand Tony's product portfolio and explore how to improve it through automation with BI tools.

Here's what you'll do:

You'll be working on real projects with real impact from day one. Here's what's on the table:

  • Project Management Tool: Improve ClickUp for product and ops project templates and build dashboards for governance, making project tracking smoother for the whole team.

  • Product Catalogue Management: Maintain and improve the global product overview and create a proposal to fully transition from Excel to BI, because spreadsheets have their limits.

  • Project Management Support: Support project teams on running projects, execute small projects independently, and help roll out Project Management training globally.

  • Product Homepage & Product Academy: Build the Product team's SharePoint homepage and help shape the Product Academy. The homepage is still a work in progress, so you'll own it end to end.

Job requirements:

  • You're studying Business, Communication, Project Management, or a related field.

  • You're well-organized, work in a structured way, and can prioritize effectively. You enjoy juggling multiple things at the same time and have strong communication skills, as you'll be coordinating with many different stakeholders.

  • Experience with project management and/or project management tools (e.g. ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Trello) from a previous internship or job is a plus.

  • Raise the bar. Challenge yourself and team Tony's to increase our ambition and to accomplish our mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them.

  • Believe wholeheartedly in Tony's mission. You live our core values: Outspoken, In it together, Makes you smile, Entrepreneurial and Raise the bar.

Here are the hard facts:

  • Starting on 1 February 2027, you'll be part of our Tony's team for 6 months.

  • We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine!

  • You'll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a school for the duration of the internship.

Here's what you can expect from us:

  • You'll be part of an enthusiastic team of driven colleagues who share your love for Tony's and our commitment. We're a fast-growing international company, and we believe in doing things differently.

  • As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Tony's Chocolonely. You'll be challenged to raise the bar and make a real impact in the world.

  • You'll have 14 vacation days over the six-month period, and we'll provide you with a monthly €550 internship allowance for a full-time (40h) internship.

  • Our office in Amsterdam Houthavens is a truly sweet workspace: you'll enjoy a fresh and tasty lunch, and plenty of snacks. We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. And of course, you get to take home as much chocolate as you can carry.

Sounds like you?

If you're ready to take the chocolate industry to new heights with us, we'd love to hear from you!

Everybody is welcome to apply. From classics to limited editions, we know that different is what makes us great. At Tony's, we welcome everyone with equal enthusiasm, regardless of race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, disability or veteran status. Crazy about chocolate, serious about people.

A note on AI 🤖 - AI is great at many things. But capturing what makes you you? Not so much. So when you're applying, we'd love to hear your voice. The things that excite you, the way you think, and a glimpse of your personality help us understand who you are far better than a perfectly crafted AI answer.

Core Responsibilities

The intern will support the Product Delivery team by managing cross-functional projects, optimizing project management tools like ClickUp and SharePoint, and maintaining the product portfolio. They will also assist in transitioning product data from Excel to BI dashboards and help shape the internal Product Academy.

Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program related to Business, Communication, or Project Management and reside in the Netherlands. Strong organizational skills, the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders, and familiarity with project management tools are required.

Benefits

  • Monthly internship allowance
  • Vacation days
  • Fresh and tasty lunch
  • Snacks
  • Free chocolate

About Tony's Chocolonely

Industry: Food and Beverage Services

Company size: 201-500 employees

Tony’s Chocolonely is an impact company that makes chocolate, committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. And not just the cocoa in our chocolate, but in all chocolate worldwide. Tony's Chocolonely was founded in 2005 by 3 journalists from the Dutch TV show ‘Keuringsdienst van Waarde’ after they discovered that the world’s largest chocolate manufacturers were buying cocoa from plantations that used illegal labor. Since then, we've dedicated our efforts to raising awareness of and eliminating inequality in the cocoa industry, becoming the #1 chocolate brand in the Netherlands. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example and show the world that chocolate can be made differently: in taste, packaging and the way we do business with cocoa farmers. Starting with paying them a higher price. Alone, we’ll end exploitation in our cocoa supply chain, but together we can change the industry across the globe. That's why we invite everyone to join our commitment. 'Cause it's only together that we'll end exploitation in cocoa.
