Intelligence Center X Principal - EMEA
€156,500 - €297,500 per year
Key Skills
Job Description
The ICX Principal sits within the global ICX Engineering practice and represents the most experienced technical and industry expertise across ICX.
Principals bring deep industry knowledge, full-stack command of ICX and the wider Siemens portfolio, and senior relationships across R&D and Siemens leadership that enable them to unblock challenges beyond the reach of an individual deal team.
The role combines deep technical expertise, industry perspective and senior stakeholder engagement to help shape the most strategic ICX opportunities and establish approaches that can be applied more broadly across the practice.
\nTechnical
- Full-stack solution architecture: Designs end-to-end data, AI and application solutions and remains hands-on in the build.
- Ontology and knowledge-graph design: A plus, but not required. Where present, experience should extend to production-scale implementations.
Commercial & Organizational
- Competitive positioning: Able to position ICX against Databricks, Snowflake and Palantir in front of a customer in a live deal.
- Use-case identification and value engineering: Finds where the value is in an account, builds the business case with the customer, and establishes value patterns that the zones can reuse.
- Executive presence and internal reach: Brings gravitas with senior stakeholders and can navigate and mobilize a large organization to unblock a deal.
- Industry depth: A plus rather than a requirement for every hire. Across the ten Principals, we want meaningful depth across our core industries: automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, electronics and pharma.
1. Lead first-of-a-kind accounts
Lead strategic engagements, particularly where ICX and Xcelerator are being combined in new or complex ways.
2. Advise across all six stages
Provide senior technical and strategic guidance across lighthouse accounts without owning every stage or every engagement.
3. Set the technical standard
Define the reference architectures, accelerators, patterns and value cases that Engineers build from and the zones can reuse.
4. Grow the people
Provide enablement and coaching, helping develop Engineers and establishing the career path toward the Principal bar.
5. Stay engaged post-close
Help assure Year-1 success on strategic accounts and support expansion where appropriate.
6. Own the product feedback loop
Channel insights and learnings from live customer engagements back to R&D to inform the evolution of the product and practice.

About Mendix
Industry: Software Development
Company size: 1,001-5,000 employees
The future of work demands smarter applications. Mendix is where you build, deploy, and orchestrate the intelligent solutions the human-AI workforce relies on—with built-in shared context and governance that connects everything perfectly. Create production-ready agentic applications and AI agents that understand your business inside and out. They're built on your data, follow your logic, and fit seamlessly into your existing architecture. Connect agents across all your business systems, then orchestrate workflows where AI handles the routine and humans step in exactly when they're needed; with full context already in hand. The difference is simple: most enterprise AI projects stall out because companies treat governance, integration, and trust as afterthoughts. We flip that script. With Mendix, every agent decision, human approval, and AI output is automatically traceable and compliant from the start. That's what separates AI experiments from AI that actually runs your business. Whether you're launching your first intelligent application or scaling an organization-wide portfolio, leading companies worldwide trust Mendix to bridge the gap between human expertise and AI capabilities—creating workforces that don't just use technology, they orchestrate it. Ready to build intelligent applications that work the way you do? Mendix is a Siemens business.
