- Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end data migration activities, implementations, system transformations, and modernisation projects.
- Analyse source and target systems, data models, database structures, application landscapes, and data flows to identify migration requirements and dependencies.
- Develop migration strategies, data mapping rules, transformation logic, execution plans, schedules, and technical runbooks.
- Coordinate data extraction, transformation, transfer, loading, and reconciliation activities across source and target systems.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity, investigating discrepancies and coordinating corrective actions.
- Support the migration of banking data, including customer records, accounts, loans, deposits, securities, investment portfolios, and general ledger information.
- Plan and execute migration testing, mock migrations, rehearsal cycles, cutover activities, production migration, and go-live support.
- Prepare migration documentation, monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and support post-migration validation, stabilisation, and stakeholder sign-off.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in technical data migration, banking application implementation, system transformation, or related IT transformation projects.
- Proven experience planning and executing data migrations in complex enterprise or application environments.
- Strong understanding of source and target systems, data models, database structures, application landscapes, and data dependencies.
- Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, transfer, loading, data mapping, and migration validation.
- Experience in data reconciliation, data quality checks, exception handling, discrepancy analysis, and migration reporting.
- Understanding of banking data domains, including customer information, accounts, loans, deposits, securities, portfolios, and general ledger data.
- Experience preparing migration strategies, technical documentation, test scenarios, runbooks, cutover plans, and go-live procedures.
- Familiarity with SQL, ETL processes, data transformation techniques, and scripting for migration activities; knowledge of banking data governance and audit controls is advantageous.
- Translate business and technical requirements into structured migration strategies, executable plans, and clear deliverables.
- Assess source-to-target data compatibility and identify mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation requirements.
- Coordinate migration activities and dependencies across business, IT, finance, database, and application teams.
- Establish data validation and reconciliation checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of migrated information.
- Identify migration risks, troubleshoot data inconsistencies and technical failures, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage migration testing, defect tracking, retesting, cutover execution, and post-migration verification.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, migration records, audit trails, issue logs, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and support timely migration readiness and sign-off.
