Job Description

THE POSITION As an Allround Shipselectrician , you are responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the vessel's electrical and electronic installations. You ensure that electrical systems function according to operational requirements, procedures, and regulations. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, Technical Officers, and Technical Superintendents, you plan and execute maintenance and contribute to the operational readiness of the vessel. YOUR IMPACT As an Allround Shipselectrician, you contribute to safe and efficient operations by proactively identifying technical risks, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance and coordinate repairs, source parts, and implementing system upgrades. Through diagnostics, maintenance planning, and coordination with other teams, you help maintain compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements. Your responsibilities include Engage with suppliers, original equipment manufacturers and other relevant teams; Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of electrical systems, including PLCs, drive systems and networks up to 6kV; Support technical documentation, logbooks and toolbox meetings; Contribute to safety on board through drills, inspections and compliance with regulations; Explore or deepen your knowledge of automation, electrical drives, and shipboard systems. You communicate effectively, work well within a team, and take ownership of your work. In addition, you have An intermediate or higher vocational qualification in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, and preferably a seaman's book, valid medical certificate and STCW Basic Safety; At least 3 years of experience as a First Electrician, ETO or similar role, ideally in maritime or industrial automation; Strong knowledge of PLCs, network systems and remote connection technologies; Familiarity with communication, survey and navigation systems, and optionally with ROVs, offshore cranes, cable lay installations or LNG as fuel; An ETO license is a plus, but not a must. Requirements

Requires an intermediate or higher vocational qualification in electronic or electrical engineering and at least three years of experience as a First Electrician, ETO, or in a similar role. Candidates should have strong knowledge of PLCs, network systems, and remote connection technologies; maritime safety credentials and an ETO license are preferred or advantageous.
