THE POSITION As a 4th Engineer, you are at the start of your career at sea. You support smooth and safe the operation of the engine room during your watch. You assist senior engineers with routine maintenance, watchkeeping, and operational tasks while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company standards. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will gain valuable experience on internationally operating vessels while further developing your professional and leadership skills. YOUR IMPACT As a 4th Engineer, you contribute to safe and efficient offshore operations by supporting your team in routine technical activities. Through careful execution of your tasks, record keeping and active participation in daily operations, you help maintain compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements. Your responsibilities include Assisting with watchkeeping duties; Routine maintenance in accordance with established procedures; Learning the vessel's technical systems, work procedures and safety protocols; Identify improvement opportunities for operational processes and procedures; Participating in safety drills and promoting a safe onboard working environment. About You You are eager to learn, committed to safety, and motivated to build a long-term maritime career. You communicate effectively, work well within a team, and are keen to develop your technical knowledge and offshore experience. In addition, you have A Certificate of Competency (CoC); Experience as an apprentice, with a maximum of 2 years at sea; Valid STCW certification and required seagoing documents; Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Core Responsibilities
Assist with engine-room watchkeeping, routine maintenance, and daily technical operations under the guidance of senior engineers. Maintain records, follow safety and compliance procedures, participate in drills, and contribute to improving operational processes.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a Certificate of Competency, valid STCW certification, and the required seagoing documents. The role is intended for someone with apprentice experience and no more than two years at sea, who communicates effectively in spoken and written English and is committed to learning and safety.
