Role Overview The Junior Area Sales Manager supports the development and execution of the commercial strategy within an assigned market cluster. Working closely with the Area Sales Manager, the Junior ASM contributes to distributor development, retail expansion, route-to-market execution, sales planning, and market analysis. The role is designed as a stepping stone toward a future Area Sales Manager position and offers broad exposure to distributor management, retailer development, business planning, and cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, or related field 2-5 years of experience in FMCG sales, account management, business development, category management, trade marketing, or customer management Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, or international customers is preferred Strong interest in commercial management and market development Preferred Experience FMCG environment Food, Beverage, Consumer Goods, or Asian Food sector Exposure to multinational organizations and multiple European markets Competencies Commercial Mindset Growth-oriented Customer-focused Entrepreneurial mindset Analytical Skills Data analysis Sales reporting Forecasting support Problem solving Communication Relationship building Presentation skills Stakeholder management Personal Effectiveness Ownership Initiative Learning agility Resilience Key Responsibilities Distributor Management Support Support the ASM in managing relationships with distributors and key customers Participate in Joint Business Reviews and Annual Business Planning processes Monitor distributor performance against agreed targets and KPIs Follow up on action plans and business opportunities identified during distributor meetings Assist in onboarding and development of new distributors Retail Development Support the implementation of retailer development plans Identify opportunities for new product listings and distribution expansion Track assortment development, promotional compliance, and retail execution Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market developments Support distributors in achieving distribution and visibility objectives Route-to-Market & Execution Assist in evaluating coverage models and route-to-market effectiveness Support outlet segmentation and channel development initiatives Monitor execution standards across key markets and retail customers Collaborate with Trade Marketing to ensure execution of activation plans and promotional activities Planning & Analytics Prepare sales reports, presentations, and market analyses Support monthly forecasting and planning processes Monitor sales performance, distribution KPIs, and market trends Assist in identifying risks and opportunities using distributor and retailer data Maintain accurate market and customer databases Project Management Lead selected commercial development projects within assigned markets Support cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service Coordinate activities related to product launches, promotional programs, and distributor development Leadership Development As part of the future leadership pipeline, the Junior ASM is expected to: Take ownership of dedicated projects and customers Build commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills Develop distributor and retail management capabilities Gain experience in business planning and commercial decision-making Prepare for future progression into an Area Sales Manager role What we Offer A salary that ranges between €3,400 and €4,750 gross per month Pension plan Commuting benefit Vitality Benefit (€50 a month) Lease Bike Option 25 days of paid time off Company laptop & phone Free Accident & WIA Gap insurance Great office location in the centre of Amstelveen An international team of highly skilled colleagues What Success Looks Like Within this role you will: Successfully support distributor and retailer development within your cluster Deliver high-quality commercial analyses and business recommendations Contribute to distribution growth and execution excellence Build strong relationships with distributors and cross-functional teams Demonstrate readiness for increased commercial responsibility Apply Today If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and contribute to Samyang Foods Europe's growth, we would love to hear from you! Experience with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, or international customers is preferred, as is exposure to FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods, Asian food, or multinational organizations.
