About iBuyFlowers iBuyFlowers is a growing international online marketplace connecting flower growers directly with florists and event businesses across the United States. We are building a finance function that combines strong financial control, efficient systems and actionable commercial insights. The opportunity We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who will help take Finance at iBuyFlowers to the next level. Reporting to the CFO, you will combine ownership of day-to-day finance and financial control with a clear responsibility to improve how we work. AI, automation and system integrations are central to this role, helping us increase efficiency, improve accuracy and support better decisions. Together with the CFO, you will shape and execute our finance roadmap, building a function that supports growth without a proportional increase in manual work. You bring ideas, challenge existing processes and turn improvements into results. What you will do Own finance operations and control Perform day-to-day accounting, including supplier invoices, expenses, bank transactions and payroll entries. Own the monthly close, balance-sheet reconciliations and accurate financial reporting. Reconcile sales, payments, supplier purchases, freight costs, credits and refunds. Resolve discrepancies and maintain strong financial controls. Coordinate year-end accounting for our Dutch BV and US LLC with external advisers. Build Finance through AI and automation Develop and execute a finance improvement roadmap together with the CFO. Redesign inefficient workflows and implement AI, automation and system integrations. Improve data quality and reporting while maintaining validation, approvals and audit trails. Deliver measurable reductions in manual work and recurring errors. Manage cash and support commercial decisions Maintain a weekly updated 13-week cash-flow forecast and flag liquidity risks. Manage payment preparation and coordinate compliance with external advisers. Prepare management reporting, rolling forecasts and budgets. Analyse revenue, margins and profitability, identifying leakage from pricing, freight, discounts and credits. Work with Sales and Operations to turn financial insights into action. What you will bring At least five years of relevant finance experience, including hands-on accounting and financial control. A relevant HBO or university degree in finance, accounting or business economics. Experience independently owning a monthly close, reconciliations and management reporting. Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections. Practical experience implementing AI or automation in finance, with measurable results. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with cloud accounting systems. Professional fluency in English. Experience with international entities, intercompany accounting, foreign currencies, QuickBooks Online or a marketplace/e-commerce business is an advantage. Dutch language skills are also welcome. You are proactive, accurate and comfortable combining daily execution with improvement. You take ownership and communicate clearly with non-finance colleagues. Core Responsibilities

Own day-to-day finance operations, accounting, financial controls, monthly close, reconciliations, reporting, cash-flow forecasting, and coordination of year-end accounting for Dutch and US entities. Partner with the CFO and commercial teams to automate finance processes, improve data and reporting, and use financial analysis to support business decisions.

Requirements

Requires at least five years of relevant finance experience, a relevant HBO or university degree in finance, accounting, or business economics, and experience owning monthly close, reconciliations, reporting, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections. Candidates should have practical experience implementing AI or automation in finance, strong spreadsheet and cloud accounting skills, professional fluency in English, and a proactive, accurate approach.
