At Royal Den Hartogh, we are looking for a Regional Commercial Manager to strengthen our Liquid Food business in South East Europe (SEE). In this role, you are the commercial face of Royal Den Hartogh across your assigned region in South East Europe. You identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with key decision-makers and expand our customer base and transport network. What will you be doing? As Regional Commercial Manager, you take ownership of commercial development across your region. Your focus is on generating new business, developing profitable transport flows and identifying opportunities that strengthen our existing logistics network. You spend time in the market, meeting potential customers, understanding their logistics challenges and identifying where Royal Den Hartogh can add value. You work closely with our PMC Commercial Managers, Operations and Pricing teams to turn commercial opportunities into successful and sustainable business. Your Key Responsibilities Include Identify, approach and acquire new customers within the South East European market. Build and maintain relationships with Logistics Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Procurement Managers and other key decision-makers. Identify profitable spot transport opportunities and develop new transport flows. Explore backhaul opportunities that improve network utilisation and reduce empty kilometres. Develop a strong understanding of regional logistics flows, customer locations, production sites and competitor activities. Maintain an active commercial pipeline and convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships. Work closely with Operations and Pricing to develop commercially attractive and operationally feasible solutions. Support tenders, commercial proposals and business cases. Share market intelligence, customer feedback and commercial opportunities with internal stakeholders. Report commercial progress, opportunities and risks to the Regional Commercial Director. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven professional who enjoys developing new business and building lasting customer relationships. Ideally, You Bring 3–5 years of experience in a B2B commercial or sales role within logistics, supply chain, tank transport, bulk logistics or a related industry. A strong hunter mentality and confidence in approaching prospects, opening doors and closing new business. Good knowledge of the South East European logistics market and an understanding of transport networks and regional market dynamics. The ability to identify commercial opportunities and translate them into profitable transport solutions. Experience collaborating with Operations, Pricing, Customer Service or other internal stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Fluency in English; knowledge of relevant regional languages is a strong advantage. Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned region to meet customers and develop business opportunities. A proactive, independent and results-oriented approach. Nice To Have Experience in liquid food logistics, bulk transport or transport network development. Knowledge of intermodal logistics, spot business or backhaul optimisation. Familiarity with food safety requirements, GMP+ standards or quality compliance. Experience with tenders, CRM systems and commercial reporting tools. Above all, you are someone who enjoys being out in the market, spotting opportunities and making things happen. Requirements
Candidates should have 3–5 years of B2B commercial or sales experience in logistics, supply chain, tank transport, bulk logistics, or a related field, along with knowledge of the South East European logistics market. Strong prospecting, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, fluency in English, regular regional travel, and a proactive, results-oriented approach are expected; regional languages are an advantage.
