Job Description
Project Manager Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Senior Reports to: Chief Operating Officer Travel: Occasional business travel to company or customer locations Company Overview POLYN Technology is an international semiconductor company with a global team operating across the UK, France, Israel and other EU countries. We are breaking the limits of traditional digital processors with a novel approach that embeds pre-trained analog neural networks (Neuromorphic analog signal processing, NASP) directly into chips. Our breakthrough technology delivers 10x better energy efficiency and significantly reduces size and cost compared to standard solutions, enabling real-time AI in small, power-constrained devices. Join us as we scale this game-changing technology from engineering samples to mass production. Role Summary We are looking for a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and drive our semiconductor product development projects from concept through industrialization and product release. You will manage multiple parallel projects across the full IC lifecycle, align hardware, firmware/software, and machine-learning development into coherent product releases, coordinate internal teams and external partners such as foundries and OSATs, and serve as the primary point of contact for project status toward management, customers, and partners. Key Responsibilities • Program Management – Define and maintain execution roadmaps for product families, aligning development priorities, resources, and release timelines across multiple parallel projects. – Manage interdependencies between projects within the program, ensuring consistent planning assumptions and shared resource allocation. – Provide program-level status, risk, and progress reporting toward management and stakeholders. • IC Development & Product Release Management – Plan and manage IC development projects across the full lifecycle: specification (PRD), architecture, design, verification, tape-out, silicon bring-up, qualification, industrialization, and production release. – Coordinate cross-functional activities between design, verification, test, quality, and operations teams, including external partners (foundry, OSAT, design service providers). – Track project schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and deliverables; drive timely decision-making and escalate blocking issues. – Manage new product introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities through early ramp, including release documentation and sign-off. • Embedded FW/SW & ML Development Management – Manage firmware and software development activities for the product, from requirements definition through integration, validation, and release — including drivers, application examples, and integration with the IC and host systems. – Plan and coordinate ML development activities for the product — from creation and training through validation and release — ensuring alignment with silicon and firmware release schedules. – Manage development of supporting software and simulation models, including keeping them aligned with silicon behaviour across revisions. • Cross-Domain Integration & Release Coordination – Align hardware, firmware/software, and ML roadmaps into a coherent product release plan. – Coordinate system-level integration and validation activities across domains prior to product release. • Process Development & Quality – Develop, document, and improve company-generic development and project management processes (e.g., phase-gate models, requirements management, change control, release management). – Prepare for and support execution of internal and external audits, including documentation readiness and corrective action follow-up. – Drive lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement across projects. • Stakeholder & Communication Management – Serve as the primary point of contact for project status toward management, customers, and partners. – Prepare and present project reports, dashboards, and steering committee materials. – Facilitate cross-site and cross-partner communication, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and commitments. Required Skills & Experience • Experience: 5+ years of project management in semiconductor / IC product development. • Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Proven experience managing IC development from concept through to production release (mandatory). • External Partner Management: Experience managing external partners, including foundries, OSATs, and design service providers. • FW/SW & ML Development: Experience managing firmware/software and machine-learning (ML) development activities. • Automotive Quality & Functional Safety: Experience with automotive quality and functional-safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, IATF 16949). • Process & Audits: Experience with phase-gate and new product introduction (NPI) processes, and with preparing for and supporting internal and external audits. Preferred Qualifications • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, or Scrum). • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project). What We Offer • 100% Remote: No relocation needed. • Full-time Role: With scheduling flexibility across time zones. • Global Team: Collaborate with industry experts worldwide on a frontier semiconductor technology. • Competitive Pay: Market-aligned compensation.
