Job Description
Overseas Facility Engineer Job Responsibilities: 1. Perform IDC (Internet Data Center) on-site duties as per Client requirements. Be able to arrive on-site promptly outside working hours in accordance with the IT operations incident management guidelines. 2. Update and maintain infrastructure information with 100% accuracy, regularly check platform alarm settings, and monitor system availability and stability. 3. Be familiar with the IDC environment and monitoring systems, and conduct facility inspections as per client's requirements, including but not limited to facility status checks, maintenance/repair MOP (Method of Procedure) review, and follow-up. 4. Respond quickly and arrive on-site according to IT operations incident management guidelines, handling incidents promptly following EOP (Emergency Operation Procedure) and reporting them accordingly. 5. Have a strong understanding of IDC infrastructure, including power supply, HVAC, and low-voltage electrical systems, and be able to quickly locate faults and restore services in case of an incident. 6. Be knowledgeable in infrastructure monitoring, capacity management, security management, and availability management to improve operational efficiency. 7. Independently create and implement change MOPs, ensuring no incidents occur due to operational changes. 8. Complete other tasks as outlined in the Service Contract, Outsourcing Requirement Specification, and related attachments.
Core Responsibilities
Perform on-site data center operations, inspections, monitoring, and incident response, including diagnosing infrastructure faults and restoring services. Maintain accurate infrastructure records, manage capacity and availability, and create and implement operational change procedures.
Requirements
The role requires strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, HVAC, and low-voltage electrical systems, as well as the ability to respond promptly to incidents. Candidates should be familiar with monitoring systems, incident and emergency procedures, infrastructure inspections, and change management.
