As Electrical installation manager (low voltage), you help protect people, infrastructure, and business operations across ASML in the Netherlands. Reliable electrical installations are essential for developing and manufacturing the advanced technology that enables ASML’s customers to produce microchips.
You will be the formally appointed Electrical Responsible Person, known in the Netherlands as the Installatieverantwoordelijke. You will ensure that ASML’s low-voltage infrastructure operates safely, reliably, and in accordance with applicable standards. Specialized contractors perform daily operational activities, while you provide governance, oversight, and technical leadership.
Role and responsibilities
As Electrical installation manager (low voltage), you have overall accountability for low-voltage electrical safety and compliance. You establish clear requirements, oversee delegated responsibilities, and intervene when safety or business continuity is at risk.
You will:
- Act as the appointed Installation Manager under NEN 3140 for assigned low-voltage installations.
- Own and continuously improve ASML’s electrical safety management program, policies, procedures, and governance framework.
- Oversee authorized contractor organizations performing maintenance, inspections, switching activities, testing, and operational installation management.
- Safeguard infrastructure reliability through lifecycle planning, risk mitigation, redundancy strategies, and modernization programs.
- Review and approve high-risk activities, technical deviations, risk assessments, competencies, and electrical safety authorizations.
- Lead electrical incident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Advise senior stakeholders on electrical safety, compliance, infrastructure risks, asset reliability, and business continuity.
Education and experience
The Electrical installation manager (low voltage) requires extensive technical knowledge and experience in safety-critical environments. The following requirements are important for successfully carrying the formal accountability of this position:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in industrial, utility, semiconductor, high-tech, or mission-critical environments.
- Extensive experience with electrical safety governance, asset management, and infrastructure risk management.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing contractors and managing formally delegated electrical safety responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of NEN 3140, NEN 3840, NEN 1010, NTA 8220, IEC 60364, IEC 60204-1, NEN-EN-IEC 61936, and IEEE 1584.
- Experience supporting business continuity, infrastructure resilience, and reliability-centered maintenance within critical operating environments.
- Preferably, STIPEL Industry and Utilities certification for installation and work responsibility across high- and low-voltage systems.

Other information
This Electrical installation manager (low voltage) position is part of ASML’s Corporate Real Estate Asset Management organization in the Netherlands. You will collaborate with facility management, manufacturing, engineering, environmental health and safety, risk management, and specialized contractors.
The role includes formal authority to stop activities presenting unacceptable electrical safety risks. It may also require involvement in incident response and critical infrastructure situations.
