Specification Data Management Specialist - China at a glance ...


 As the Specification Data Management Specialist, you will support specification maintenance activities, PLM system support, and specification excellence.  This role operates with autonomy in a dynamic, cross-functional, and integrated environment.

 

Key Ingredients:

  • Support all spec data activities and processes and ensure data meets the correct requirements for PLM and downstream systems
  • Manage complex specification workflows end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, regulatory and commercial compliance
  • Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and drive approvals on schedule
  • Implement updates due to internal or external change requests
  • Support proactive data reporting, analysis, and correction
  • Troubleshooting and system support for R&D; guides on policy, assist with resolving escalations
  • Collaborate with International counterparts on system governance, efficiencies, and consistency
  • Work in accordance with R&D/compliance/nutritional/legal/Food Safety/Quality requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, chemistry, or related field
  • Proven experience in specification management, product development or quality systems within food/beverage or CPG industries
  • Proficient with specification databases, PLM systems, and ERP tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical details to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Organizational/time management skill / ability to run multiple assignments concurrently
  • Track record of executing projects and driving results on cross‑functional teams

 

Work Environment & Schedule

  • The function is based in Nijmegen or Amsterdam. The company has a minimum 3/5 days in the office requirement and as part of the role at least one day in Nijmegen.
  • Working hours are including an early start to maximize the overlap with the Chinees time zone
