Purpose of the Role Within the hotel’s commercial strategy and the brand and marketing frameworks of Accor and Sofitel, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the marketing strategy and annual marketing plan for Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. The Senior Marketing Manager advises the Director of Sales & Marketing on positioning, marketing priorities, propositions and investments and translates the agreed commercial direction into concrete marketing, communications, PR and activation plans. As a business partner, the Senior Marketing Manager works closely with the hotel’s operational departments to translate services, concepts and guest experiences into distinctive and commercially relevant propositions, aligned with the positioning of The Grand and the Sofitel brand identity. The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the effective execution, monitoring and optimisation of these activities, using relevant commercial and marketing KPIs to measure performance and guide decision-making. The role provides direction to the Marketing team while remaining visibly and actively involved in day-to-day execution. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and monitor the annual marketing and communications strategy in line with the hotel’s commercial objectives and Sofitel brand framework. Manage the marketing budget and define relevant KPIs to measure performance, optimise activities and guide decision-making. Translate market, luxury hospitality, gastronomy, travel and lifestyle trends into relevant marketing opportunities. Work closely with different departments to develop distinctive, commercially relevant propositions and experiences. Develop and execute integrated B2B and B2C campaigns, activations and content from concept to evaluation. Strengthen the hotel’s visibility, reputation and positioning through PR, media relations, partnerships, events and relevant industry awards. Safeguard consistency and quality across all content and visual communications. Lead and develop the Marketing team, setting priorities and ensuring effective planning, quality and timely delivery. Act as a senior marketing partner to the DOSM, management and operational departments. Remain actively involved in day-to-day marketing execution, including content creation, campaign coordination, PR, events, social media and performance monitoring. Lead digital marketing, social media and e-commerce activities in collaboration with Revenue & E-commerce, ensuring strong brand alignment and commercial performance. Build and manage relationships with media, influencers, partners and other external stakeholders, including the coordination of press visits, events, photoshoots and relevant collaborations. Provide marketing support for key hotel propositions and F&B concepts, translating guest experiences into compelling content, campaigns and commercial activations. Profile Minimum of four years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in a senior or comparable role. Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Professional fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken. Demonstrable experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns from A to Z. Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with experience in KPI-driven marketing. Experience in PR, media relations, partnerships and social media. Strong understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce, combined with an affinity for graphic design and visual communication. Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to engage and influence different disciplines and operational teams. Excellent prioritisation, project-management and time-management skills. Proactive, creative, results-oriented and hands-on. Experience in luxury hospitality, gastronomy, travel, lifestyle or another premium environment is a strong advantage. Why choose The Grand? Requirements

Requires at least four years of relevant marketing experience, a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, and professional fluency in Dutch and English. Candidates should have end-to-end campaign experience, strong commercial and analytical skills, and experience across PR, digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, stakeholder management, and project coordination; luxury or premium-sector experience is an advantage.
