As a Junior Purchaser, you will become part of our Purchasing team and have the opportunity to really learn the profession. What will you do? You will be involved in purchasing products and maintaining relationships with our suppliers on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include: Requesting prices, availability and lead times from suppliers Comparing quotations and identifying the best purchasing opportunities Placing and following up on purchase orders Maintaining daily contact with national and international suppliers Monitoring delivery times and identifying potential issues before they arise Supporting negotiations on pricing, volumes and terms Actively identifying new suppliers and commercial opportunities, including visiting suppliers both nationally and internationally Working closely with Sales, Supply Chain and Finance Contributing to decisions regarding inventory, margins and product availability Ensuring agreements are properly documented and followed up Who are we looking for? Above all, we are looking for someone with the right drive and mindset. You do not need to be an experienced Purchaser yet. You: Have MBO+/HBO-level working and thinking ability Are interested in purchasing, international trade and the pharmaceutical market Have a commercial mindset and enjoy negotiating Work accurately and are able to maintain a clear overview Are analytical and comfortable working with numbers and Excel Communicate easily and professionally Have a good command of both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing Are proactive and do not wait for someone to tell you what to do Can adapt quickly and enjoy working in an environment where things do not always follow a fixed plan Previous purchasing experience is an advantage, but certainly not a requirement. Core Responsibilities
Request and compare supplier quotations, place and track purchase orders, and maintain relationships with national and international suppliers. Support negotiations, monitor deliveries, identify new commercial opportunities, and collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance on inventory, margins, and product availability.
Requirements
Candidates should have MBO+/HBO-level working and thinking ability, commercial interest in purchasing and international trade, and strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills. They should communicate professionally in Dutch and English, work accurately and proactively, adapt to changing priorities, and be eager to learn; prior purchasing experience is advantageous but not required.
