Come join Feadship as an Intern Data Science & AI, and help us accelerate our analytical capabilities in analysing operational sensor data through AI. We are the technical and creative heart of Feadship, and the home of all research and development. As an intern, you will make a meaningful contribution to this. Whether it’s structural design, mechanical engineering, or naval architecture, your work will involve precision, calculation, and problem-solving, powered by both insight and ingenuity. Every day, we work on technically cutting-edge projects where innovation and custom design go hand in hand. The amount of available data from our fleet is growing rapidly, and so are the opportunities to generate valuable insights for design and engineering, through machine learning and AI. Within our Knowledge and Innovation team, we are looking for a curious and analytically strong intern who wants to work with real datasets from our Feadship fleet, with a focus on operational sensor data. Together, we will explore how AI can accelerate the analysis of operational data from our fleet and strengthen our analytical capabilities. You Will Have The Opportunity To Explore current research in AI to identify promising approaches. Help develop and evaluate AI models that could make the analysis of sensor data faster and more effective. Apply your work to a practical use case within the company. Dit breng je mee You are enrolled in a master’s program (academic) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Systems and Control or a related technical field You currently reside and study in the Netherlands (must) You can reach Hoofddorp by public transport, due to limited parking space for cars You are analytical, self-motivated, and enjoy solving complex technical problems You have programming experience and have built and trained AI models from scratch You are familiar with version control and collaboration tools, such as Git and GitHub You are curious about developing and evaluating AI models for real-world technical data Ons aanbod A challenging internship within an innovative and multidisciplinary team Guidance from skilled and experienced colleagues in our Specialist Team The opportunity to work alongside highly educated engineers from the Netherlands and abroad Plenty of room to contribute your own ideas and explore research freedom An internship allowance of €650 per month (based on 40 hours/week) Travel cost reimbursement if you don’t have a student public transport card allowing you to travel for free The chance to contribute to the technological future of luxury yacht building

Core Responsibilities

Explore AI research and develop and evaluate models to accelerate analysis of operational sensor data from Feadship’s fleet. Apply the work to a practical company use case and help strengthen the organization’s analytical capabilities.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in a master’s program in a relevant technical field and currently live and study in the Netherlands. They should have programming experience, have built and trained AI models from scratch, be familiar with Git and GitHub, and be analytical, self-motivated, and curious about real-world technical data.
