Fixed-term contract of 1 year. Locations: multiple (Rotterdam, the Netherlands or Munich, Germany). Embotech is an award-winning software scale-up developing cutting edge autonomous driving technology and solutions for autonomous vehicles, with focus on private ground applications such as trucks at port terminals and passenger cars in factories. We are delivering safe autonomous transportation by leveraging the real-time optimization technology that we have been developing since 2012. We are looking for a field Application Engineer who is passionate about complex systems and automation. Responsibilities: · Cooperation with port terminal system stakeholders and Embotech developers on system integration · Use case definition of new functionalities · Supporting on-site vehicle and simulator testing activities · First point of contact for fleet management software support · Reporting test results and issues efficiently and to development and business teams · Cooperation with product management, software engineers, and controls engineers to deliver a well-integrated full autonomous driving stack · Documenting new processes Requirements: · MSc in robotics, mechatronics, computer science, machinal or electrical engineering or similar · Experience with systems engineering or technical business analysis · Experience with application deployment at customer site or in cloud environment · Experience with any of the following is a plus · Web development · Web application deployment · Autonomous driving · Port terminal automation · Self-driven team player with hands-on mentality · Fluency in spoken and written English · Willingness to travel Our preferred starting time for this position is ASAP. Core Responsibilities

Coordinate system integration with port terminal stakeholders and internal developers, define use cases, and support on-site vehicle and simulator testing. Provide first-line fleet management software support, report test results and issues, collaborate across product and engineering teams, and document processes.

Requirements

A postgraduate degree (MSc) in robotics, mechatronics, computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field is required, along with experience in systems engineering or technical business analysis and application deployment. The role also calls for a self-driven, hands-on team player with fluent spoken and written English and willingness to travel; experience in web development, web application deployment, autonomous driving, or port terminal automation is a plus.
