Job Description

Flexous Mechanisms B.V. is an independent developer and manufacturer of advanced mechanical watch components. Based in Delft, we combine horological expertise with advanced compliant system engineering to create technologies that expand the possibilities of mechanical watchmaking. Our components are built around precision-engineered silicon flexure systems designed for reliability, repeatability, and performance at the microscale. Our high-frequency oscillator represents a new approach to mechanical regulation and is now being brought into new watchmaking applications. We work closely with leading industry partners to develop, manufacture, and industrialize high-performance watch components and complete timepieces. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and passionate Watchmaker to join our team. The Watchmaker is a full-time or part-time, on-site position based in Delft. You will play an important role in the assembly, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of watches incorporating the Flexous oscillator technology and other in-house developed components. Working closely with engineers and product developers, you will help transform new concepts into reliable products while ensuring the highest standards of watchmaking craftsmanship and quality. What will you do? Assemble, regulate, and validate high-end mechanical watches built around our oscillator and other in-house developed and manufactured watch components. Assemble and evaluate prototype, pre-series, and production watches. Perform testing, quality control, and performance validation of movements and complete watches. Diagnose, investigate, and resolve technical issues during assembly and testing. Contribute to the optimization of assembly methods, testing procedures, and product performance. Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to support product development and industrialization. Document assembly procedures, observations, and test results. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional watchmaking environment. What do you bring? Formal training as a Watchmaker or equivalent practical experience. Strong understanding of mechanical watch movements and horological principles. Experience with movement assembly, regulation, testing, and troubleshooting. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions. A structured, quality-focused, and hands-on approach to work. Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for new technologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. What we offer? A unique opportunity to work on one of the most exciting developments in modern mechanical watchmaking. Direct involvement in bringing new watch technologies from development to production. Exposure to advanced compliant mechanisms, silicon flexure systems, and proprietary watch components. A highly skilled, collaborative, and international team environment. A challenging and varied role with significant learning opportunities. Competitive compensation and long-term career opportunities. The opportunity to make a visible contribution to products that challenge established approaches to mechanical timekeeping. Interested? If you are passionate about watchmaking, enjoy solving technical challenges, and would like to contribute to the development of a new generation of mechanical watches, we would love to hear from you. About FLEXOUS

Industry: Wholesale Luxury Goods and Jewelry

Company size: 11-50 employees

Flexous Mechanisms designs & develops high-tech watch parts for mechanical watches. We are the most forward-thinking, innovative technology provider in the watch industry, as an independent company. Our most recent project is a groundbreaking oscillator product in the Frederique Constant Monolithic Manufacture watch. This project challenged the three-century old working principle of mechanical watches and has truly shaken up the watch industry. It was very well received by both end-users and press, referring to this as “an epochal event”, “introducing 21st century mechanical wristwatches”, “start of a new sector in the watch industry”.
