Job Description

As a Business Support Manager, you will support and enhance the commercial effectiveness of our Freight Sales organisation through the management and development of key business systems, data, and processes. You will act as the main point of contact for CRM and tender management support, helping colleagues across the business make data-driven decisions and continuously improve performance. Working closely with Freight Sales, Product, and Commercial Management teams, you will drive system optimisation, deliver valuable business insights, and contribute to projects that strengthen our commercial capabilities across Europe. Location: Rotterdam, The Netherlands or Hamburg, Germany Hours per Week: 40 Key Responsibilities You will play a central role in supporting the commercial organisation by ensuring our systems, data, and processes operate effectively and continue to evolve with business needs. Next to this you will: Manage, maintain, and further develop the CRM platform Support and optimise the digital tender management system Monitor data quality and drive user adoption through training and support Develop reports, dashboards, and commercial tools that support business performance Provide data analysis and insights to Freight Sales and Commercial Management teams Support commercial projects and process improvement initiatives Coordinate and maintain Freight Sales surcharge updates Your Profile Proven experience in a similar business support, CRM, commercial support, or analytics-focused role Affinity with logistics and transport, preferably within container, trailer, or multimodal transportation Strong command of English; an additional European language is considered an advantage Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities A collaborative team player with a hands-on mentality and a strong sense of urgency Functional/Technical Skills To succeed in this role, you bring strong technical and analytical capabilities and are comfortable working with data from a variety of commercial and operational systems. Specifically, you have: Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, and report governance Strong working knowledge of SQL, including querying, joining, validating, and transforming data from multiple sources Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Query Experience or knowledge of using APIs and automated data-extraction methods Knowledge of developing and maintaining structured data models and automated reporting solutions The ability to combine data from CRM, tender, pricing, financial, and operational systems Strong data-validation and data-quality management capabilities The ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and measurable KPIs A strong understanding of commercial metrics, including revenue, margin, volume, conversion, retention, and profitability The ability to explain complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders About Multimodal Solutions DP World’s Marine Services business, Multimodal Solutions delivers integrated rail, road, ferry, and shortsea transport solutions that connect markets across Europe and beyond. The role requires advanced Power BI and Excel skills, working knowledge of SQL and Power Query, and the ability to combine commercial and operational data and translate business needs into measurable KPIs.
