Job Profile: Business Developer / Sales Lead – Academy, EBS, Mobile University Introduction SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences, together with EBS Business School and SRH Mobile University, intends to enter the professional education segment in the Netherlands. The collaboration will combine international excellence with a strong local presence. About the Role We are seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial Sales Lead with a large network to accelerate the strategic establishment of (joint) Professional & Executive Education offerings at SRH Haarlem, EBS Business School and SRH Mobile University in the Dutch professional and executive education segment. The ideal candidate develops a validated, structured sales approach for the Dutch market, with clear action steps, risk mitigation, and growth opportunities. Alongside the potential individual positioning of the three entities, you ideally co-design the first jointly tailored programme offerings that address the specific needs of key target groups in the Dutch professional and executive education market. This is a pioneering role. You develop and execute strategies that support the growth of our educational products and services. You identify new business opportunities, build long-lasting relationships with stakeholders, and strengthen our market position. Above all, the Sales Lead is the connector between education and the Dutch professional and executive education market. Position in the Organisation Reports directly to the SRH Head of Academy First commercial hire; no team in year 1 Works closely with programme development and marketing Core of the Role Helps build the commercial engine of an academy still under construction: from shaping the proposition to pricing to the first paying clients Sells existing programmes of our German sister institutions, EBS and Mobile University, and identifies opportunities for the three entities to differentiate themselves in the professional education market Sells to organisations (in-company programmes, multi-year learning agreements, co-funding) and drives enrolment of individual professionals Translates market demand back into the programmes: content, format, duration, price Responsibilities Writes and maintains the sales plan: target groups, segmentation, pipeline build-up, quarterly targets Builds and manages the pipeline independently: prospecting, first meeting, proposal, negotiation, close Develops the proposition per sector together with programme development, including pricing and discount structures for volume and multi-year agreements Builds a regional network: employers, industry and employers' associations, HR and L&D managers, municipalities, and O&O funds (sector training funds that pay for employee training) Drives enrolment of individual participants together with marketing: campaign input, registration conversion, lead follow-up Sets up the commercial foundation: CRM, proposal templates, pipeline reporting, standard terms and conditions Delivers monthly pipeline and forecast reports to the Head of Academy, linked to the 2027 break-even target Results in the First Twelve Months Sales plan approved within 8 weeks Qualified pipeline First in-company programmes signed with an agreed number of anchor clients Working CRM with a reliable forecast Substantiated recommendation on which of the five programmes to continue commercially and which to stop What You Bring Proven experience in B2B sales of services with a long sales cycle: education, consultancy, professional services or similar Experience in writing and executing your own sales plan, not just executing someone else's Able to manage multiple decision-makers per deal (HR, L&D, line management, procurement) Conducts price conversations on value, not on discount Comfortable with numbers: margin, participant numbers per programme, cost per participant Works independently without an existing client list, marketing machine or brand awareness Professional-level Dutch and English; German is a plus Personality and Working Style A builder, not a caretaker: enjoys that little is in place yet Switches between strategy and execution on the same day: pricing today, making calls tomorrow Changes course when the market demands it, without throwing out the plan every week Brings bad news early: says so when a programme isn't selling Curious about the content; can talk credibly with an L&D manager about learning objectives, not just price What We Offer Freedom to design the commercial approach yourself An entrepreneurial environment A direct line to management; short decision-making Helping build an academy from the start, including influence on the portfolio Remuneration with a fixed base and a variable component linked to signed revenue How to Apply Please send your CV and motivation letter to [email protected] by October 30, 2026. Core Responsibilities

Develop and execute the sales strategy for professional and executive education offerings, building a qualified pipeline and securing organisational and individual enrolments. Shape sector-specific propositions and pricing with programme development, establish commercial processes and reporting, and provide market feedback to guide the programme portfolio.

Requirements

The candidate should have proven B2B services sales experience with long sales cycles and a track record of creating and executing an independent sales plan. They must be comfortable managing multiple decision-makers, negotiating on value, working with commercial metrics, operating independently, and communicating professionally in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
