In this Senior Embedded Software Engineer role, you’ll develop software for advanced embedded systems within a high-tech R&D environment. Your work directly contributes to the development of reliable, high-performance products through C++ and real-time software engineering. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary Agile team where software quality, Clean Code, and continuous improvement are central. Together with architects, testers, and fellow engineers, you’ll design, implement, test, and optimize solutions running on custom hardware platforms. What you’ll be doing as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer: Design, implement, and test firmware according to specifications and established architecture Produce maintainable, reusable code that aligns with the larger architectural vision Create software solutions that are simple, expandable, and meet specific performance/size constraints Research external requirements (datasheets, specifications) and provide informed recommendations to architects for decision-making Support board bring-up activities and provide close collaboration between hardware and software teams Ensure groundwork software for hardware-software integration is delivered at defined integration points Maintain effective communication and transparency with cross-functional teams Ensure the build pipeline remains operational and actively troubleshoot build failures Contribute to technical sustainability through code quality, technical debt management, and documentation improvements Contribute to TCR reviews, FAM (Function Area Meetings), and first-order estimates in alignment with the FW architect What you need to be successful as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar Min. 5+ years of embedded software development Strong C++ programming skills Good understanding in software architecture and Clean Code principles Strong experience with microcontrollers and real-time constraints (RTOS or bare-metal) Solid understanding of memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization in constrained environments Skilled in object-oriented and generic programming Exposure to hardware-software integration, including debugging with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) Familiarity with embedded Linux is a plus Experience with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet) Exposure to build systems (e.g., CMake), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development in embedded environments is a plus But that’s just the beginning, the real excitement starts in your day-to-day work: 💻 Develop software for advanced embedded systems ⚙️ Work with C++, RTOS, and embedded hardware 🔍 Solve complex debugging and software challenges 🚀 Build reliable software for next-generation products 🤝 Collaborate in multidisciplinary Agile teams Are you ready to help shape the future of embedded technology with high-quality software? Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with hardware, architecture, and testing teams on board bring-up, integration, build pipeline reliability, code quality, documentation, and technical planning.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of embedded software development experience, with strong C++ skills and experience with microcontrollers and real-time constraints. Candidates should understand software architecture, Clean Code, memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization; hardware debugging, communication protocols, build systems, Git, and CI/CD are also relevant, while embedded Linux and embedded testing practices are advantageous.
