Job Description

Are you eager to make production (processes) safer more reliable and sustainable? We are looking for a Process Engineer Nitric Acid and Utilities who is interested in developing as a process specialist at our Sluiskil site while also being open to take part in global initiatives and assignments during and after the training period.

What will your main responsibilities be?

As a Process Engineer you follow up the Day-to-day production units with focus on optimizing operational parameters to improve safe and reliable operations. You lead hands-on Root Cause Problem Solving to identify improvements and initiate optimization projects. Prepare modification projects and follow-up commissioning before start-up.

  • You’ll active participation in Yara’s technical Communities of Practice to share learnings with colleagues around the whole world;
  • Contribute to the digital transformation and lean implementation in the operation teams;
  • Participate in the on-duty system for Nitric Acid and Utilities units.

You’ll make sure that all activities are being executed in conformance with Yara’s Values & Management system.

Who are you?

You are a highly motivated team player with excellent coordination, communication and social skills. You have an “Hands-on” attitude, are open-minded and constantly pro-actively look for opportunities to grow.

You have the ability to solve complex problems, are eager to drive your own development and anticipate well in a challenging and dynamic environment. 

  • Master degree in Chemical Engineering;
  • Just graduated or first experience in Process Engineering for chemical plants; 
  • Willingness to work in an international environment and to travel for some extended periods.
  • Excellent safety mindset;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and possess either recent graduation or initial experience in chemical plant process engineering. Excellent safety awareness, strong communication skills, and fluency in both Dutch and English are required.
