Job Description
Subsea cable tenders are multidisciplinary and technically complex. They require close cooperation across commercial, engineering, operational and supporting functions. Projects may be offered directly to clients or as part of larger offshore energy developments in collaboration with other DEME Offshore activity lines.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse client requirements, tender documentation and contractual conditions for subsea cable projects;
- develop the tender strategy, execution concept and cable installation methodology together with engineering and operational specialists;
- coordinate route, installation, burial, protection, landfall and logistics assumptions, including vessel and equipment requirements;
- prepare and validate cost estimates, project schedules, resource plans and commercial assumptions;
- draft clear and compelling technical and commercial proposals;
- identify, assess and manage opportunities, risks and interfaces throughout the tender process;
- liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, partners, supporting departments and other DEME activity lines;
- coordinate internal reviews and prepare tender documentation for management approval; lead client clarifications and support negotiations through to contract award.
Your profile
- You hold a BSc or MSc degree in engineering, marine technology, construction, business or another relevant discipline;
- you have at least 5 years of experience in offshore projects, subsea cables or complex multidisciplinary tenders;
- experience with offshore cable installation, burial, protection, landfalls, interconnectors or offshore wind export and array cables is a strong asset;
- you are able to work under pressure while keeping the tender team focused on priorities, quality and deadlines;
- you have strong negotiation skills and sound commercial and contractual awareness;
- you communicate clearly and confidently with clients and stakeholders at all organisational levels;
- you are pragmatic, proactive and hands-on, with a structured and solution-oriented approach;
- you take ownership, adapt quickly to changing requirements and consistently drive actions to completion;
- you are a natural leader who motivates multidisciplinary teams and promotes collaboration;
- you are an experienced user of MS Office applications. Knowledge of planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera is an asset;
- you are willing to travel abroad for short assignments.

Core Responsibilities
You will lead the tender team in analyzing international subsea cable projects, defining execution strategies, and managing the end-to-end proposal process. This involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, validating cost estimates, and supporting contract negotiations through to award.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a BSc or MSc in engineering, marine technology, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in offshore projects or complex tenders. Strong negotiation skills, technical expertise in subsea cable installation, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
