Job Description

Overview

This is a temporary 6 month contract.The Space Planner connects merchandising strategy with advanced data and space planning to drive sales profitability and operation efficiency.From a product perspective the role will have to develop and manage the use of store planograms, to turn data gathered into actionable insights. These insights lead to increased productivity of Foot Lockers product assortments, better liquidation of aged inventory, reduction of markdown spend and support / advice with buying decisions.The role will work together with the product teams (buying, merchandising), marketing teams, and store operations to ensure good use of planograms.

Responsibilities

 

  • Data, Systems & Operations
    • Maintaining and updating store attribute data by ensuring accuracy and consistency of space across internal databases, layouts, systems and dashboards (Excel, SharePoint, etc)
    • Support store clustering, inventory tracking, fixture mapping, sku/space reporting
    • Assist in planning, tracking and execution of space planning projects and initiatives
  • Space Planning & Analysis
    • Support implementation of space planning strategies, guidelines, and floor plan layouts
    • Analyse store layouts, sales data, and market trends to identify optimization opportunities
    • Prepare reports and materials for cross-functional reviews and decision-making
  • Visual Merchandising & Execution
    • Translate plans into visually compelling and shopper-friendly store layouts
    • Conduct compliance checks to ensure consistent in-store execution
    • Support in translating store requests by ordering and tracking hardware and fixtures
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Act as a link between head-office planning teams and store execution teams
    • Collaborate with merchandising, VM, operations, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Retail, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in retail operations, merchandising, or data/space planning support
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability translate data into insights to data increase company profitability and productivity
  • Experience with retail databases or space planning tools is a plus (Microsoft Excel and SharePoint; basic Power BI knowledge)
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator or visual design tools is a plus
