Job Description

Sr. E-House Engineer | DC | LV/MV

you get energized by applying structure in a tight schedule? Are you a technical expert with 
excellent communication skills and do you want to play a crucial role in the development 
of power distribution for datacenters? Then we are looking for you! 

As a Sr. E-House Engineer, you are the brain behind the successful delivery of our 
electrical projects. This entails ensuring that all engineering and realization activities are 
completed within the agreed timeline and budget. Communication and responsibility are 
key in leading the project, from the initial engineering phase until successful completion, 
meeting both technical requirements and client expectations. 

In this position, you will work for the E-house team for data centers, which consist of 
around 30 engineers. We are looking for an Sr. E-House Engineer to fit into this close-knit 
and driven team. The E-house team belongs to the Data Centre Electrification & 
Automation department, which manages international multidisciplinary projects. The 
engineering department consists of about 100 plus engineers divided into 7 different 
discipline groups. 

Your responsibilities 

The Sr. E-House Engineer is responsible for overseeing the entire engineering process of 
modular structure solutions tailored to customer needs. This involves communication with 
internal colleagues, such as the E-House team, LV/MV team, bus bar team and project 
managers, customers, and third-party suppliers on tight schedules. The Sr. E-House 
Engineer maintains a comprehensive overview to ensure that all designs and disciplines 
are properly aligned, fulfilling project scope within the agreed timeline and budget.  


Solutions  
Within each project, the Sr. E-House Engineer directs the engineering, manufacturing, 
installation, integration, and commissioning of complete power distribution systems. 
These systems cover medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, power 
distribution units, bus bar systems, digital protection, automation, and monitoring 
systems, as well as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. All these elements are 
integrated into modular solutions like E-House, designed to meet the complex 
requirements of data center environments.  

Communications & Stakeholder Management 
As the E-house Lead Engineer, you coordinate with internal stakeholders such as projects 
managers, procurement, sales, document control, and engineering teams, while 
maintaining direct contact with clients. Managing site coordination is crucial to project 
success. The role is based primarily in The Hague, the Netherlands, but includes regular 
visits to factories, suppliers, and project sites both domestically and internationally. 
Responsibilities may also include supervising factory testing and participating in customer 
meetings. We expect an open and flexible communication style from our Sr. E-House 
Engineers. 

Your background 

As an experienced power electrical engineer, you maintain a clear overview of your ongoing 
projects. You are efficient, organized, and able to work under pressure in a varying 
technical environment. Colleagues describe you as an efficient communicator with a 
proven track record in improvement projects. You combine technical expertise with the 
ability to maintain structure and overview. 

Qualifications:
  • Possesses 4-6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Expertise in designing distribution substation layouts, selecting components and cabling, and specifying MV/LV termination kits, earthing, and grounding systems.
  • Skilled in developing engineering and execution plans for modular structures, monitoring manufacturing progress, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated practical and theoretical knowledge of low and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and relevant calculations (short-circuit, selectivity analysis), with familiarity in standards such as IEC 61439.
  • E-House background, on-site experience and Stipel are a plus. - Preferably an EU national with Dutch language proficiency, able to travel on short notice and in possession of a valid driver’s license.
