PURPOSE

As a Technical Writer & Training Content Creator in the Design and Engineering team, you contribute to the successful adoption and support of innovative self-service products used by passengers at airports around the world. You work on real-world engineering challenges, transforming complex technical information into clear documentation, engaging multimedia content, and practical training materials across multiple phases of the product lifecycle.

Reporting to a Senior Product Manager, you work within the Passengers at Airports division, collaborating closely with engineering, product, manufacturing, service, and regulatory teams to help deliver high-quality, reliable, safe, and maintainable products to the global aviation industry.

What you do

Work closely with mechanical, electrical, regulatory, manufacturing, product, service, and support teams to translate complex engineering information into engaging training content, practical documentation, and effective learning experiences. Validate content directly on prototypes and production-representative units to ensure instructions are accurate, safe, and usable in real-world environments.
  • Create and maintain high-quality instructional videos, product demonstrations, tutorials, onboarding materials, and multimedia learning content for internal and external audiences.
  • Plan, script, storyboard, record, edit, and publish professional training content covering installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and product features.
  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, including installation guides, maintenance manuals, technical specifications, service bulletins, FAQs, and knowledge-base content.
  • Produce supporting visual content such as technical diagrams, illustrations, annotated photographs, quick-reference guides, presentations, and training materials.
  • Gather, verify, and refine technical information from engineering designs, component data, bills of materials, prototypes, test units, and subject-matter experts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content is accurate, practical, and aligned with product needs.
  • Validate procedures hands-on using prototypes or production-representative units, ensuring instructions are safe, complete, and easy to follow in real-world environments.
  • Support content required for product launches, customer training, service readiness, regulatory approvals, global market access, design reviews, customer discussions, and engineering updates.
  • Manage content reviews, approvals, revisions, publication, traceability, version control, and continuous improvements based on product changes, user feedback, support trends, and business needs.
